"MAGNAR NOW!!" Neil shouted, while summoning a heavy, swirling mass of thickened fluid, dense as mud.
Magnar was hurt slightly when it previously pierced into the acidic sac of the large creature.
Although it managed to fulfil its previous order but the familiar received a serious injury.
ROOAAAARRRRRRRRR
Understanding his task, Magnar stomped and rushed forward without caring about his safety and smashed his horn into the exposed wound near the broken wing.
BANG
One of the familiar's horns plunged into the wound.
As the Gnat let out a scream, shuddering.
Its single wing stump twitching like a broken antenna.
Neil didn't waste the opening.
Right at that moment, he finished with the latest experiment of his skill.
As a pipe shaped mass of fluid floated above him, filled with various chemicals, salts and more.
The cable was shaped like Y.
His hands shook as he hurled it forward with everything he had.
Just as Magnar pulled back, one end stuck to the acid gland's open wound.
While the other end hooked under the jagged chitin of the wing stump, while the last fell freely to the ground.
All the preparations were done, Neil clung to Magnar's feet as his familiar stopped the flow of magma.
Neil had nearly exhausted all his energy reserves, receiving dozens of wounds to bring the plan this far, even after so many tries and deaths.
Well it was expected, their opponent was far too deadly after all. If Magnar wasn't here, Neil's chance of victory would be zero.
Even with analyzer and Aquamorph.
After the main step of their plan was complete, the two hurriedly fled away from the bug.
While the Gnat couldn't understand anything, it felt pain at two points.
And somehow its exposed vibration tissues burned with irritation where the gel clung to its body.
'Do it, do it, please try to make my head explode again!' Neil prayed, as he travelled far away.
BUZZZZ…
And the Gnat's body actually started buzzing, answering Neil's prayers, as it got ready to let out another terrifying scream.
It inhaled a long breath, body swelling a bit then vibrated at very high speed.
The acid gland ballooned under pressure.
The wing stump tightened like a coiled spring.
KRRRRIIIIIIIIIEEEEEEEEE-?
The moment the vibration hit Neil's gel cable, the beast's own bioelectric charge snapped across the two wounds straight through the conductive fluid and looped back into its body.
The conductive cable linked the two unstable organs, making internal voltage spike across the membrane.
Pressure rebounded instead of leaving the mouth, making the creature electrically short itself internally.
Reactions started taking place inside its body, as if the Gnat itself had turned into an oversized battery.
Vibration sacs ruptured, acid sacs superheated, while internal membranes started tearing one after another.
Small arcs of electricity danced under its chitin.
The Gnat's body lit up from inside, as it let out a blood curdling scream, belly swelling unnaturally.
The enormous creature tried everything it could but the reaction had already started, its insides melting, electricity soon consumed it entirely.
BOOOOOOOM
The large body was thrown up into the air as the Gnat's belly finally exploded, the paste of its insides falling down like rain.
BANG
It hit the ground with a resounding noise, looking far more grotesque, its body completely torn and broken.
[You have Killed the 1st Origin Mythic Class Caustic Gnat.]
[Congratulations, you have successfully cleared the Nest.]
[Would you like to draw your loot?]
As several messages popped before Neil, he slumped down onto the floor.
Lying flat. Completely spent.
Dozens of wounds present all over his body and barely any energy left in his energy core.
HUFF HUFF
Closing his eyes, Neil just let himself enjoy his victory.
Breathing in air heavily as if he was starved of it.
Despite so many start overs, Neil still needed over ten hours to kill the Gnat.
Even in the weakened state, it was so difficult to kill.
It was all thanks to Analyzer, Aquamorph, Magnar and his knowledge that he succeeded in the end.
"I guess I also need a healing hut haa haa in my domain, ughhh this is so damn tiring and painful…"
Neil couldn't imagine how he was going to fight such creatures in the future.
He needed to kill two mythic creatures just to fill his final core in each origin, he possessed five cores in total.
From Bronze to Mythic.
Whenever Neil closed his eyes, he saw the nightmarish scenes of dying, his head felt totally messed up.
It was taking all his will power to still keep himself together.
The two rested for a while, as Neil regained some energy and strength back, he slowly sat up.
[Aquamorph Activated]
Then medicinal fluid appeared over all his wounds, he even put some over Magnar's injuries.
The familiar was fast asleep, and its wounds were healing way faster than its master's.
After drinking some water, Neil got to his feet, his battle suit was covered with blood.
Instead of red though, it was blackish blood.
Maybe the proof of being a Phantom.
"Let's see the loot first." He put Magnar over his shoulder and walked towards the twisted corpse and muttered:
"Extract loot."
[Selecting the best loot based on the level difference…]
Instantly the large corpse of the Gnat broke into tiny sparkles as several things appeared over the floor.
An orb appeared over the ground, Neil picked it up and felt his energy rushing into it.
And finally, the orb broke into several rewards.
"It better be worth all the torture I went through."
Neil knelt down and picked the first object, which was a faintly glowing orb.
[You have acquired 2,000 Shards.]
"Tch how stingy and even the Cloud vulture cost 3,000 Shards while the other two are over 5,000." Neil sighed.
But there wasn't anything he could do, not to mention the Gnat was already injured.
Neil tried to console himself. Though he should have gotten more shards.
But it was the rule, the shopkeeper sell for more and purchase for less, even if it's the very same thing.
Then the next was a glass vial which was filled with a colourless fluid.
[You have acquired one 1st Origin Mythic Class Gene point.]
"And I need another of this sigh, still I wonder how much my strength will increase after this."
GULP
Without wasting any time, he removed the lid and gulped the fluid down.
Instantly a shiver ran through his body, black veins bulged as blood flowed at extreme rate.
Neil felt extremely hot, though it wasn't painful, the changes were more dramatic than anything before.
…
It continued for a couple of minutes and finally, his body returned to normal.
Neil clenched his fist, he could feel his explosive strength.
There was certainly a massive leap in his abilities, even his senses were far better.
Not to mention his energy reserves, which had increased by at least three times.
"I feel my strength already surpasses the gold class, maybe I can even match the diamond class."
Just a single Mythic class gene point had increased his strength by so much, while according to his status he was even yet to reach the bronze class.
"It would have been better if I had more time, but I need to enter the Lizzard settlement tomorrow." He sighed.
Even his body's natural healing got faster.
BOOOM!
Neil stomped with all his might to test his physical strength, creating an explosive noise.
He almost lost his balance since he hadn't expected the impact to be so powerful.
"Yes master, your strength is certainly at or very close to the Diamond class. If you were to meet the Magma Bima at your current strength, I am sure you can defeat it without getting injured." Nemo said, before adding:
"Also I was able to obtain the footage of Ship number 7 and some information about the Phantom."
"Oh good, thanks Nemo." Neil said and decided to check that after taking the loot.
He picked up another item.
[You have acquired the Elemental Bow.]
