Chapter 48 - Chapter 47 Psionic Storm

On Kamino, Lana Sey was still modifying Kote's genes to enable normal Clone production, while Master Qui-Gon and his Disciple were still investigating at the Kashyyyk space station.

"Master, after investigation, the Nebula Front is a terrorist organization that specializes in attacking large corporations in the Galaxy. The Technology Alliance has also been attacked by them before, but never with such a significant scale," Obi-Wan reported the information he had gathered from others.

"That's right. According to the information provided by that captain, this attack was completely premeditated. These people have been working within the Trade Federation for a long time, and this time they waited for this opportunity to kill everyone. Yet Council Member Gonrey was only seriously injured, and that security captain is also very suspicious because all these personnel were chosen by him," Qui-Gon recalled the scene at the time.

"Exactly. It's as if he knew about this attack beforehand and immediately produced information on the Nebula Front. Even if he had investigated something, it's impossible to confirm it's this organization so quickly," Obi-Wan also thought of Vos's actions.

"Have you found the Nebula Front's headquarters?" Qui-Gon wanted to start the investigation there.

"Yes, it's on Asmeru. We can go investigate now," Obi-Wan handed the Nebula Front's information to Qui-Gon.

Subsequently, the two prepared to go to Asmeru, but someone was faster than them. It was Korian Vos, who, piloting a Sith Infiltrator, directly attacked the Nebula Front's camp from above, then sent reconnaissance droids down to eliminate all survivors.

At this time, Master Qui-Gon and his Disciple, piloting a republic consular-class cruiser, had arrived outside the planet Asmeru and began to enter the atmosphere. From the front window, they saw black smoke rising from their destination, clearly indicating that someone had carried out an elimination to prevent further investigation.

"Quick, Obi-Wan, there might still be survivors!" Qui-Gon and Obi-Wan parked their ship at the foot of the camp's mountain and hurried up. But by the time the two arrived, they only saw a completely destroyed camp and reconnaissance droids hunting down any survivors within it.

Inside the cloaked Sith Infiltrator, Korian Vos watched the arriving Jedi. This was the first time he had seen the Jedi he considered his enemies, but he suppressed the urge to hunt them, left Asmeru, and headed to Cato Neimoidia to make Gunray fulfill his promise.

Obi-Wan and Qui-Gon quickly cut the reconnaissance droids in half and searched the camp for any survivors, but everyone had been killed by the droids' finishing blows.

"It seems someone doesn't want us to investigate further," Obi-Wan said, looking at the destroyed camp.

"It seems a certain force has been leading us by the nose, but he's clearly a novice. He forgot that using the Dark Side of The Force leaves traces," Qui-Gon said, touching the ground and sensing.

"Master, are you saying a user of the Dark Side of The Force destroyed this camp?!" Obi-Wan exclaimed, as the Jedi archives recorded the Sith as long extinct.

"It's not necessarily the Sith; it could also be fallen Jedi working for that person. But it's truly as Kote said, the darkness is already reawakening," Qui-Gon sighed.

"What should we do, Master?"

"Let's report to the Council first," Qui-Gon prepared to ask the Council how to proceed, whether to continue the investigation or otherwise.

Returning to Cato Neimoidia, Korian Vos saw Nute Gunray lying in a sickbed, being fed fruit by several people.

Seeing the newcomer, Gunray asked the others to leave the sickroom. "Thank you for your help. So, I have one last request, and that is this organization." Gunray opened a holographic projection showing an image of Kote in Death Watch armor.

"Has the aid from Jabiim arrived?"

"It's still en route, Great Master, but as soon as they are dealt with, the aid will arrive very quickly."

"You can fool a three-year-old with that. However, if you send the aid now, I'll help you, how about it?" Vos used The Force to levitate a fruit in the air in front of Gunray's face.

At this moment, Sidious's message also came through. "How is your health, Governor Gunray? I am pleased that the Trade Federation will now be under your command."

"I'm fine, Great Master Sidious, thank you for your concern. Thanks to you and this Great Master's help, the Trade Federation would not be under my command," Gunray said cautiously.

"That's good. Since that's the case, I have a task for him, so quickly fulfill your promise," Sidious ended the communication.

"It seems I can't help you with this matter. We'll meet again if there's a chance, Governor Gunray." With that, Vos put on his hood and left Gunray's sickroom.

Back on the Sith Infiltrator, Korian Vos knelt and sent a communication to Sidious. Suddenly, Sidious's figure appeared. "Continue to complete the mission of unifying Jabiim, then become Jabiim's Republic Council Member."

"I will definitely complete it, Great Master!" Vos vowed.

Meanwhile, on Kamino, Lana Sey finally completed the modification of Kote's genes, making each Clone similar but not entirely identical. During this time, Kote was not idle, constantly practicing The Force. One day, the adjutant walked in while Kote was meditating.

"Commander, based on my previous simulations and comparisons, I found that The Force is quite similar to the God Race's psionics or humanity's psionics. So, after my summary and reorganization, I created a training method for God Race warriors," the adjutant said, handing Kote a datapad.

Kote held the datapad and observed it for a long time, finally realizing that The Force and psionics were indeed very similar. In the God Race, psionics is an energy that establishes a connection with all things, and The Force is similar; it is ubiquitous, and those with high midichlorian counts can establish a connection with it and use it. Therefore, the God Race's training method might really be usable (Note: This is Kote's own opinion).

So Kote began training to psionicize The Force. One day, after his routine blood draw, Kote sat on the landing pad meditating, surrounded by a torrential storm, which had no effect on him. Unconsciously, Kote stood up, and his hands released a powerful force—a power that caused the heavens and earth to change.

The already turbulent ocean became even more violent due to the storm, and the clouds in the sky were impacted. As that energy was released, an enormous storm appeared between heaven and earth, ravaging Kamino's ocean.

"Is this really a human being?!" Even Lana Sey, a local who was accustomed to Kamino's harsh weather, couldn't help but be startled watching the storm Kote caused from the monitoring view. But then, the entire city suddenly plunged into darkness.

Kote's power affected the entire city, cutting off the electricity supply. Fortunately, Kote quickly became exhausted and lay on the ground, regaining consciousness, and the city's power supply was restored.

"Is this really my power?" Kote looked at his trembling hands.

And on Coruscant, four people felt Kote's power: one was Darth Sidious, the others were Great Master Yoda and Great Master Windu, and the last one was the deepest hidden, Darth Plagueis.

Sidious, who was handling state affairs in his office, exclaimed, "Powerful Force!"

Great Master Yoda, in meditation, also awoke. "The future is no longer clear. Who could it be?"

"No matter who it is, possessing such power is extremely dangerous!"

"Perhaps it's a good seedling, but I wonder how it compares to my good Disciple's second secret Disciple. After all, that child's talent is not low at all," Plagueis said, looking at the financial report in his hand.
