Chapter 24 - The Drawing Session

[Favonius Sword · 4-Star]

[Indestructible]

[Moderate increase in mana recovery]

[Hitting a target's weak spot or killing a target recovers a small amount of mana]

Levi never intended to make his 'Mystery' known to everyone. For now, and for a long time to come, he would only act alone, or drag Tsubaki along to accumulate great deeds.

Therefore, for him, as long as his damage output could break through a monster's defense, the rest of his gacha choices should lean towards sustainability.

Health recovery could currently be handled with the magic provided by his Vision.

As for the mana used to power his magic, before acquiring the Development Ability 'Spirit Healing', he would clearly need to rely on some external forces.

In the second round of pulls, Levi's luck returned to its usual standard.

First, he went 70 consecutive pulls without a featured item. On the 80th pull, he got a Lithic Spear, which wasn't a great match for him:

[Lithic Spear · 4-Star]

[Indestructible]

[Moderate increase in weapon attack power]

[For each member of the same Familia in the party (including the wielder), the equipping character gains a small increase in Strength. This effect stacks up to four times.]

After that, another 700,000 Valis went into the banner before he finally secured his target.

From the third to the seventh round, Levi's luck was neither good nor bad.

The designated item was the 'Low-Tier Artifact Exchange Ticket'.

The third and fourth rounds successfully yielded the item at 60 and 70 pulls, respectively. The fifth through seventh rounds cost 1.4 million, 1.3 million, and 1.4 million Valis in order.

During this time, he got two off-banner skill books. One was for the Normal Attack of Mondstadt's Raiden Shogun (lol), Lisa, called 'Violet Arc'. Since it was magic, Levi tossed it into his inventory to collect dust after getting it.

The other, after being used, became:

[Stellar Conquest Spear Arts · 4-Star (Beginner 1%+): Gain the Development Ability 'Spearman I'. Have a preliminary grasp of the Stellar Conquest Spear Arts.]

It just so happened to pair nicely with the Lithic Spear he had pulled earlier.

As for the final item, it was a 'Low-Tier Constellation Exchange Ticket'. After using it on his Vision, the second Stella Fortuna of the Felis Catus constellation was successfully lit.

[2nd Stella Fortuna Buff: 'Icy Paws' damage is moderately increased. The damage absorption of the generated shield receives a moderate correction. When the Icy Paws hit a target, they can grant a shield with half the normal damage absorption to a unit marked as an ally, or grant an additional half of the damage absorption to a shield already formed on an ally.]

Levi opened his inventory, took out the five 'Low-Tier Artifact Exchange Tickets', and exchanged them for the 'Flower of the Exile', 'Plume of the Exile', 'Pocket Watch of the Exile', 'Goblet of the Exile', and 'Circlet of the Exile'.

[The Exile Set · 4-Star]

[Indestructible]

[Soul-bound Equipment]

[Flower/Plume/Pocket Watch/Goblet/Circlet of the Exile: Moderate increase in Endurance/Strength/Dexterity/Agility/Magic]

[Two-Piece Set Effect: Moderate increase in mana recovery]

[Four-Piece Set Effect: After using magic or an active skill, gain the Development Ability 'Spirit Healing i' for one minute]

Artifacts were equipment for the soul.

After The Exile set dissolved into light and vanished into Levi's palm, the five stats on his character panel—Strength, Endurance, Dexterity, Agility, and Magic—appeared similar to when he used 'Mana Burst', now sporting an additional '+200' suffix.

At this point, his inventory, thanks to a total of 770 pulls across seven rounds, had accumulated enough Ability Score Enhancement Tickets to raise all five basic abilities to the Lv.2 limit.

He even had some to spare.

However, Levi had previously tested with Lv.1 enhancement tickets and knew that lower-level tickets could also be used to raise higher-level ability scores, so he hadn't planned things out so carefully.

Now, with a grand wave, he activated the enhancement tickets in order from lowest Lv to highest Lv, stopping only when he had 1 [+10] and 24 [+100] Lv.2 Ability Score Enhancement Tickets left in his inventory.

[Levi Bright]

[Lv.2]

[Strength: SSS1299+200/SSS1299]

[Endurance: SSS1299+200/SSS1299]

[Dexterity: SSS1299+200/SSS1299]

[Agility: SSS1299+200/SSS1299]

[Magic: SSS1299+200/SSS1299]

From his farewell with Hestia until now, less than an hour had passed in total, yet Levi already stood at the absolute pinnacle for a Lv.2 adventurer.

No, considering the numerous bonuses from his artifacts, equipment, skills, and magic, he was confident that he stood a fighting chance even against a skilled Lv.3 opponent!

'Next, I'll max out the proficiency of Hiten Mitsurugi-ryū, raise Stellar Conquest Spear Arts to the Adept level, quantify my maximum mana while I'm at it, and finally, test if the perpetual mana engine strategy I've devised can be achieved with all these buffs. After that, I should be ready to go to the Dungeon and get a feel for my new stats.'

With this in mind, Levi activated a 100-day Proficiency Enhancement Ticket.

Then a second, and a third.

By the fourth one, he felt his mana, or more accurately, his Mind, beginning to approach the safety line.

He then used 10 more 10-day enhancement tickets before finally chugging a low-grade Mind recovery potion he had prepared earlier.

And about 20 seconds later, he recited the chant for the protection of his own patron goddess.

Hestia's affection for Levi, following the official confirmation of their relationship, had already reached Level IV.

Combined with the mana recovery acceleration effects from The Exile set and the Favonius Sword hanging at his waist.

Levi's mana was refilled even before the effects of the recovery potion had worn off.

'Around 5000 days' worth, huh...'

'It seems that 1 point in a Lv.2 ability score can be roughly considered twice as effective as at Lv.1.'

While making these quick calculations, Levi took advantage of Hestia's protection still being active on him and used Mana Burst once more.

The cost of Mana Burst was so low that Levi's mana returned to its peak the moment the buff appeared on his character panel.

Even his other magic, 'The Goddesses' Loving Protection', was tested and found that while it couldn't replenish the spent mana instantly, the entire process could be completed within eight seconds.

Having found the answer he was looking for, Levi smiled.

He didn't use any more of the Mind recovery potions remaining in his inventory. Instead, after activating each 100-day Proficiency Enhancement Ticket, he would cast 'Mana Burst' on himself. When the temporary 'Spirit Healing i' Development Ability faded, he would reapply it. 'Hestia's Pure White Love' remained active the entire time. Only when his mana was nearing its maximum would he use the next enhancement ticket.

After repeating this process for two hours:

[Hiten Mitsurugi-ryū · 3-Star (Master 1%→-): Gained the Development Ability 'Swordsman f'. Have perfectly mastered all techniques of Hiten Mitsurugi-ryū]

[Stellar Conquest Spear Arts · 4-Star (Beginner 1%+→Adept 2%+): Gained the Development Ability 'Spearman G'. Are proficient in the basic and advanced killing techniques of the Stellar Conquest Spear Arts]
