Chapter 8: The Eleven Supernovas!

Inside Sabaody Archipelago Bank

"Please spare this dog's life, Lord Rock, I beg you!!"

At this moment,

seeing a hundred guards drop unconscious one after another,

and with a famous blade pressed against his throat,

the Sabaody Bank manager had lost every trace of his earlier arrogance. He was on his knees, pleading pathetically.

In his heart, he had already cursed the World Government and Marine HQ ten million times.

Their intel was pure garbage!

They labeled this monster as "heavily poisoned, greatly weakened, easy to capture alive"?!

What a load of crap!

That blinding Soru and terrifying Conqueror's Haki—

and they called him easy prey?!

"Nami, what do you think?"

Rock ignored the manager and turned to Nami.

No matter what she said,

this guy wasn't leaving alive.

Couldn't risk him leaking Rock's real condition to the World Government or Marines.

Rock was still looking forward to giving them a nice little surprise at the Summit War.

"Hmph. A guy like this is useless alive. Kill him, Ro—Rock."

Nami snorted coldly.

The manager's behavior had thoroughly pissed her off.

But there was a distinctly wicked glint in her smile.

"No, no! Thief-cat lady! Wait—I've got money! There's 200 million Berries in cash in this bank right now! Only I can access it!"

"Spare me and it's all yours!"

The moment Undead nicked his neck and blood bloomed,

the manager panicked and tried to buy his life.

"200 million Berries?! Hahaha! Our entire crew treasure combined is only 200 million right now!"

"YES! We're rich, Rock! Our fortune's about to double! Kyahaha!"

Mission accomplished—Nami literally jumped for joy, practically hanging off Rock's arm in excitement.

Perfect!

This Rock guy was awesome!

First day with them and he already brought her this much wealth.

First man in her life to deliver such insane money luck!

For the sake of 200 million Berries, she'd totally forgive last night's incident!

(She didn't even notice she'd already started treating Rock like one of her own.)

"Tell me where the money is. Then I'll consider letting you live."

Rock secretly gave Nami a thumbs-up for instantly squeezing out 200 million.

But he knew this snake was rotten to the core.

200 million definitely existed—maybe more.

But the guy was 100% planning to stall, trigger traps, or call the Marines.

"Even if I told you, only I can open the vault!"

Seeing them drool over the money, the manager calmed slightly.

Just greedy pirates after all.

Wait till he activated the bank's defense system and called the Marines on the island…

"Heh. Wrong answer."

Rock smirked.

Next second—

Undead flashed crimson.

Slash—

The manager felt his soul split in half. Agonizing pain—then his head lolled as he collapsed dead.

"EHHH?! Damn it, Rock! You killed him?! What about our money?!"

Nami freaked.

200 million still wasn't in her hands!

This was a once-in-a-lifetime jackpot!

"Don't worry, Nami. He said the money's here. We'll find it ourselves."

"What, the great little thief-cat can't sniff out hidden cash?"

"Hmph! Who do you think you're talking to? There's no money in this world I can't find! Follow me, jerk!"

One compliment and Nami was beaming again.

She grabbed Rock's hand and dragged him deeper into the bank, hunting for the vault.

But Rock's expression turned grave.

He glanced back toward the entrance.

Several figures outside were shifting restlessly—waiting for orders.

So Marine HQ really planned to hunt him to the end, just like the Celestial Dragons…

While Rock and Nami were looting the bank,

Luffy, Chopper, Usopp, Brook, guided by Hachi and Camie, arrived at Shakky's Rip-off Bar.

They were looking for the coating mechanic Rayleigh, as Hachi suggested.

No Rayleigh—just Shakky, the hostess.

According to her, the old man was gambling at the amusement park.

Before the crew left to find him,

Shakky decided to drop some intel—free of charge (after Chopper nearly paid 100,000 Berries for cotton candy and almost had a heart attack).

"Little Monkey, you guys need to watch out. Something weird's going on in Sabaody right now."

"For some reason, all the hottest rookies from the first half of the Grand Line—who took completely different routes—have shown up here at the exact same time."

"Including you and Roronoa, there are eleven pirates with bounties over 100 million Berries gathered here. People are calling you the Eleven Supernovas."

Shakky liked the Straw Hats more than the other crews, so she gave them the full rundown so they wouldn't walk in blind.

"Of the eleven, little Monkey's 300 million puts him in second place."

"The most talked-about captains are:

Kid,

Hawkins,

Trafalgar Law,

and Red Flag X Drake, the fallen Marine."

She listed the Supernovas so they'd at least recognize the names if they ran into trouble.

These new-gen pirates weren't pushovers.

"Eh? A fallen Marine? I don't know that guy, but we made a friend yesterday who just quit the Marines too! He's super strong, heehee!"

Luffy, as usual, only caught one thing: "fallen Marine."

Rock had briefly mentioned he'd deserted, so Luffy connected the dots.

"A friend of little Monkey? Just left the Marines? Really strong?"

"What's your friend's name?!"

Shakky's eyes sharpened instantly—she smelled a huge scoop. Her tone actually turned excited.

"Ah, his name? I think it was… Nok?"
