Chapter 47 - If only I could go back in time...

"Anyway, it's already late. I'd better go." I said to Raiden, my face already flushed.

"Sure, sure. Have a good night." He said, slightly drunk, as I waved and took a step forward onto the balcony, intending to fly away.

"But can you fly in that state?" he said as I misstepped and stumbled.

"I think so…" I replied uncertainly.

I took a deep breath before giving a small hop and taking off.

My body ascended into the skies, the castle below me growing smaller the farther I went.

Breathing deeply once more, I searched for an empty place to land.

However, whispers—more and more whispers—echoed inside my head.

"Ugh." I clenched my teeth, my head throbbing as the whispers grew louder and louder.

My eyes searched for the source of that unbearable sound and soon fell upon one of the castle's towers.

"I don't recognize this voice…" I pondered briefly. "It's not like the spirits of light or shadows, nor like the four elements or healing. So what is it?"
