The Birth of a Prophecy
When the ancestor gods first shaped the world, they created both divine beings and demons. The Chief God ruled the Celestial Realm, while the Demon God commanded the Dark Realm. But greed consumed the Demon God — he desired dominion over all creation.
Peace shattered. The Chief God led his divine armies into the demon lands. For endless days and nights, for months and years, the war raged on. Humans suffered the most, caught between heaven and hell.
In the final battle, the Chief God slew the Demon God — but at the cost of his own life. The Celestial Realm collapsed, yet the world was saved.
As centuries passed, the gods chose a new ruler: Hei Ping, the most powerful among them. Under his guidance, four great realms were reborn —
the Heaven Realm, the Demon Realm, the Shuilu Kingdom (the Water Kingdom), and the Hujie Kingdom, land of the fox spirits.
Each realm prospered under its new rulers… until five hundred years later.
A Prophecy in the Stars
One night, a crimson star streaked across the Heavenly Palace. Soon after, Empress Lan Hua gave birth to a son — a prince marked by a glowing dragon pattern on his neck.
Everyone was astonished.
Servant: "Your Majesty… Your Majesty!"
Jade Emperor Donghua entered the chamber, his eyes fixed on the mark.
Emperor Donghua: "What is that on his neck?"
Immortal Doctor: "It is destiny — the sign of the one who will save this world."
Emperor Donghua: "Save the world? What do you mean?"
Immortal Doctor: "The dragon mark signifies he will be the savior in the coming great calamity. Yet his destiny is bound with danger — even his life may be the price."
Emperor Donghua: "His life? Then who will protect him?"
Immortal Doctor: "Do not fear, Your Majesty. His savior has already been born — a girl destined to stand beside him. She will be beautiful, pure-hearted, and powerful. Together, they are the chosen ones. Nothing, not even death, can separate them. Their fates are intertwined — if one perishes, so will the other."
Thus, the prince was named Long Hua. Joy filled the Heavenly Palace.
At the same time, in the Shuilu Kingdom, Empress Xiao gave birth to a daughter, a princess with a shining phoenix seal upon her forehead. Emperor Xiao Yuqing named her Xiao Yufan — the first girl born into their royal line. Her immense power was sealed within that mark.
Two Hundred Years Later
Time flowed like water. The prince and princess grew — he, strong and noble as a dragon; she, graceful and radiant as a phoenix.
On the day of Prince Long Hua's two-hundredth birthday, the royal families of all four realms gathered in the Heavenly Palace. Among them was Princess Xiao Yufan, accompanied by her brothers, Prince Xiao Yu lang and Prince Xiao Yu song.
There, Yufan reunited with her childhood friends — Prince Yulong and Princess Lilong of the Hujie (Fox) Kingdom, the spirited twin heirs of Emperor Lilan and Empress Liang.
After sharing laughter and stories, Yufan wandered toward a nearby waterfall. The moonlight danced on the water — and there, she saw him.
A young man stood by the falls, his aura powerful yet calm. Their eyes met. For a long, quiet moment, time seemed to stop. Her heart began to race.
She didn't yet know… he was the prince from the prophecy.
