Chapter 15 - You Will Eat All the Candies!

Luanna's POV:

"I ran out of wrapping paper," Beth said.

"Take mine," I tossed her the roll. I can confirm that wrapping gifts is exhausting work. Our room was a mess, full of trash; we had been sitting here for over three hours, but at least the job would be done.

All three of us were wrapping our last gifts while Christmas music was playing loudly in the room. What we certainly didn't lack was Christmas spirit. Our room was decorated, we were happy because of the holidays, and we were singing Christmas songs at the top of our lungs. These would probably be some of the best Christmases of my whole life.

"Finally!" El shouted, finishing.

"Me too!" Beth added.

"Finished!" I cried out last.

"I want to sleep," Beth whined.

"At least you didn't have practice today," I grumbled, lying down in bed.

"Are you going to sleep?" El was surprised.

"Yes, that's exactly what I'm doing. I'm tired, I want to sleep, and I have nothing else to do. What could be a better choice?" I said.

"Well, socializing and going out somewhere would be nice," she suggested.

"Beth, what about you?" we turned to the girl.

"Um... I'm for Luanna's plan," she said.

"Fine," El crossed her arms on her waist. "Sleep all you want, I'm going to Louis's," she said and started gathering her things while Beth collapsed onto El's bed. When the brunette was almost out the door, I managed to say:

"Use protection!" El gave us the middle finger, and Beth and I started giggling.

"So, how are things with Harry?" I asked Beth.

"You have no idea," she sighed dreamily. "He's so good, kind, helpful, and I just can't describe it," she recounted. "I think I love him."

"Oooooo," I squealed and grabbed my phone. I quickly looked up Harry's number, and just as I was about to call, Beth saw.

"Don't you dare tell him!" she shrieked and lunged at me, but it was too late. I had already pressed the button.

Harry: "Hello?"

Luanna: "Harry!" I shrieked. "Beth says..."

Beth: "Don't you dare!" she yelled, trying to grab the phone.

Harry: "What's going on?" Harry sounded worried.

Luanna: "I wanted to tell you that... Ow!" Beth bit me! "He's going to find out anyway, Beth!"

Beth: "Not this way!" she retorted.

Harry: "Beth, are you okay? Did something happen?" he sounded sad, not angry.

Luanna: "He has to know," I said and pushed Beth off me. "So, Harry, Beth l—" Beth tackled me by surprise and ended the call. "Come on! I was almost finished!"

"Exactly! I don't want him to know," she calmed down.

"Why?" I frowned.

"Because... what if he doesn't feel the same way?" she buried her face in the pillow.

"Hey, hey, hey," I crouched next to her. "He definitely loves you. From the moment he saw you. When we talked about when he would ask you to be his girlfriend, he was so nervous that you would say no, but look. You've been a couple for three months. Promise me you'll tell him tomorrow, okay?" She just nodded. "It will be his best Christmas. Now, let's go to sleep."

^ Morning ^

Finally, they let me sleep in. I woke up at 12:38 PM, and I'm proud of myself. I hadn't had this much time to sleep in a long time. Now we had less than five hours to get ready for the celebration.

The three of us first chose El's outfit, then mine, and finally Beth's. After about an hour, we washed our hair and started doing our hairstyles. Beth curled hers, I curled and braided mine loosely, and El straightened hers. After a bit more time, we had our makeup on, and finally, our outfits.

All three of us were ready, and grabbing the gifts, we left the room. It was chilly outside, so both my friends rushed to Beth's car, so I had to hurry too. In the car, they immediately turned on the heating, and we headed toward the fraternity house. It was a good thing that almost all the other guys belonging to the fraternity had gone home to their families, and the entire house was left to us.

When we arrived, a wonderful sight greeted us. The house was covered in various colored, blinking lights. Gathering the gifts, we started walking toward the house as fast as we could, as the boxes were heavy and a cold wind began to blow, swirling snow around us. Since we didn't have free hands, I kicked the door several times with all my might.

"Who is it!?" a voice shouted from behind the door.

"It's a damn Santa who won't give you presents if you don't open the door!" I yelled, and immediately heard the lock turn. A second later, Harry and Louis opened the door. I quickly rushed inside, squeezing through the gap between them.

It was interesting because I had never been in this house before. I started walking toward where the voices were coming from. When I arrived, I realized it was the living room, where all the remaining guys were sitting on the floor and the sofa. They were laughing cheerfully, except for Niall. I felt guilty. I had never felt this way before. No matter how much he hurt me, I never gave up... I quickly shook my head, driving the thoughts away.

"Hey!" I shouted, and everyone grinned and turned to me. "Almost Merry Christmas!" I yelled again and threw the gifts under the Christmas tree, where there was already a sizable pile. I walked up to the guys and sat down on the floor with them, grabbing a glass of some drink they were having.

After a minute, El and Beth arrived, whose gifts were now being carried by their boyfriends. Finally, everyone was sitting on the floor.

"So, what are we doing first?" Beth asked.

"First, we open the gifts. Then we can go eat, and later we'll do whatever we come up with," Liam laid out.

"Let's start!" Josh shouted happily, while Niall remained as silent as before.

Everyone started unwrapping presents and tossing paper everywhere. We were laughing and shouting about what we got.

"This sweater is perfect!" Louis shrieked. "Who gave it to me?! That person is a god!" he yelled, holding the sweater I gave him.

"It's mine!" I shouted back, even though we were only two meters apart.

"You are a god!" he yelled again, put on the sweater, and continued unwrapping.

I received very good gifts. Another sweater, perfume, a new makeup kit, a unicorn onesie, a whole box filled with various candies, jewelry, and so on.

Everyone happily went to eat. Everyone loaded their plates with everything. We started devouring the food because we were very hungry. Only Niall was playing with the food on his plate, pushing it from one side to the other.

After ten minutes, Jake brought in a cake for Louis. He lit all twenty candles.

"Make a wish!" El shouted.

"My wish..." Louis started. "Is that Luanna and Niall stop fighting," he said, which I didn't expect, and he blew out the candles in one go.

Then everyone turned to me. "Will you grant his wish?" Liam asked.

"Um..." I honestly didn't know what to say. Should I end everything? "Fine," I sighed, and everyone started shouting with happiness.

I turned to Niall, winked, and stood up. "Wait a minute," I said, grabbing my candy box and running into the kitchen. I took a fairly large glass container and filled it with candies. Grabbing the bowl and a spoon, I walked back. Everyone looked at me strangely except Niall, who was still in the same position. I took his food plate and put the candy in its place.

"On the occasion that we're no longer fighting, you will eat all these candies, and until then, no one," I sternly looked at everyone, "will get up from this table."

"But that's a lot," he grumbled.

"Exactly!" I said happily.

He slowly picked up the spoon and, as I said, began to eat. After eating a third, he livened up a bit and started eating faster. Finally, all the candies were gone, and Josh immediately rushed to the bathroom.

Getting up from the table, we all started acting silly and playing all sorts of games. To me, these felt like perfect Christmas celebrations.
