Chapter 28 - 28

The people were almost driven away by Frank's smell. Alvin took a beer and handed it to Police Chief George, saying, "Chief, if you have something to discuss, and if it's convenient, feel free to share. Honestly, I don't dislike the police!"

George looked up at Alvin, pondered for a moment, and said, "I don't know if I should tell you this? I've seen your written and video materials. You have some special abilities, some very powerful pets. I want to consult you, maybe it will help."

Alvin inwardly complained about the way these people talk. Whenever they ask, 'Should I say it?', they always end up saying it. Then why waste words? I won't open my mouth, just watch you feel awkward.

The seasoned Chief, without a hint of embarrassment, continued, "Recently, a senior executive of Stark Industries was attacked, and her bodyguard died saving her. After investigation, we discovered that the attacker was a vampire."

Stopping Alvin from blurting out a mocking remark, Chief George said, "It really is a vampire, with fangs, operating at night, sucking human blood. After careful investigation, we found that it is a large group. Many missing people over the past decades are related to them."

Alvin looked at the Chief in front of him with a mocking expression, and said, "Wow ~ You guys didn't notice for decades, but when a Stark Industries executive is attacked, you suddenly know!"

As Alvin spoke, he rubbed his eyes and said with disdain, "To be honest, Chief, you've lowered my expectations of the New York City Police!"

Chief George smiled wryly and said, "I won't shirk my responsibility. When I learned about this situation, I once ordered an investigation. But my officers lost more than ten, they were all good lads.

I don't want to see them go to their deaths anymore. So I came to you, I think you might know something."

Rubbing his throbbing temples, Chief George said sincerely, "If you know anything, tell me, let me send those sons of bitches to hell."

Alvin thought for a moment. Chief George's expression didn't seem fake. He genuinely cared about public safety and grieved the sacrifice of the police. Moreover, darkness, fangs, bloodsucking, all seemed familiar. This world doesn't have movies about vampires, but Alvin had seen plenty in his previous life. This made him a little curious, but also worried about attracting trouble.

Jessica, who was beside him, was attracted by Chief George's story. She leaned against the bar, propping her chin with one hand, just listening to the story.

Ginny playfully climbed onto the bar stool, imitating Jessica's appearance, propping her chin with one hand, but she couldn't understand what the adults were talking about, but she could look at Daddy!

Alvin was amused by Ginny's actions, tickled her a couple of times, making her giggle.

After kissing his daughter on the face, he turned to look at Chief George and said, "Maybe I know something, but I'm not sure. Can you find someone involved to confirm it? Someone who can tell me in detail what they saw, heard, and even smelled."

Alvin paused for a moment and said, "But shouldn't this kind of thing be handed over to that, what's-it-called, S.H.I.E.L.D.? Their expertise is more suitable."

Chief George had a look of indignation on his face when he heard about S.H.I.E.L.D. Obviously, he hadn't received good news from S.H.I.E.L.D. Just like the FBI looks down on the CIA, the Chief was clearly the one not taken seriously by S.H.I.E.L.D.

"I only got one sentence from them, 'The matter is being handled. We will notify you after it's over.' These sons of bitches don't care about the lives of civilians and police at all.

A city council member mentioned this matter several times, and then his whole family disappeared. These goddamn bastards are simply lawless."

After cursing S.H.I.E.L.D. a couple of times, Chief George seemed to feel a little better and said, "I can arrange a meeting with the Stark Industries executive, can you do it?"

Alvin stretched and said with a smile, "I'm the owner and cook of the restaurant. As long as it's mealtime, I'm here, after all, I have a big family to feed, don't I!"

After speaking, Alvin affectionately pinched Ginny's little nose and glanced at Jessica with disgust.

Ignoring Jessica's protests, Alvin reached out to Chief George and said, "I don't know what will happen in the end! I can feel that you are a good police officer. If things are true, I promise, I will do my best, after all, I have a child, and I am also a principal."

George obviously knew something about Alvin's self-proclaimed principal status, and Alvin also made a promise.

So Chief George jokingly said, "Yes, Principal, your school is the most special school I've ever seen. My daughter is about to enter 11th grade, maybe I will consider transferring her to your school.

You know, rebellious girls are too troublesome. I wish I could follow her around with a gun every day to prevent some bad boys from approaching her."

Alvin looked at the silly girl Ginny sitting on the bar, playing with her fingers in his arms, nodded empathetically, and decided to add a document to strengthen the school's management of early love affairs.

Nodding fiercely, Alvin said, "My school absolutely does not allow early love! You can consider transferring your child to our school next year. I can't guarantee anything else, but the college entrance rate is definitely guaranteed. Our graduating class teachers are all respected old professors."

Alvin silently kicked Professor Cage out of the ranks of respected figures, but there was no need to tell George, was there!

Chief George didn't expect Alvin to actually invite him to send his child to his school. He was a little embarrassed and didn't know how to answer, so he chuckled and said a little perfunctorily, "I have to go back and consult my wife and daughter's opinions!"

He just realized that George's daughter was a very good student. If things went well, it would set an example, and if outside students wanted to enter the community school, it would cost a lot of money.

It's not that Alvin looks down on other schools. In another two years, in terms of exams, the community school will be far ahead of other schools. What? Just being good at exams is not enough, you also need social practice? The children in Hell's Kitchen have one day off every week, and this one day is the best social practice.

To run a school well, you have to have results. There's no time for the current stage, but isn't there a crooked trick? Find some excellent students to take the exam, isn't that the school's achievement? Maybe it only takes a year to become a famous school.

Thinking of the famous schools recruiting students in his previous life, it was really the rich people throwing money into the famous schools. If you encounter high requirements, you have to face the teacher's picky selection during the interview. The community school doesn't need it, if you have money, I'll accept you.

But first, tricking George into sending his daughter over is the real deal. Alvin said, "Consult? What is that? Don't let me look down on you, George, I can guarantee that your daughter will definitely not have a boyfriend in my school. And she will be in 11th grade when she comes, and she will be taught by two retired professors from Columbia University, Professor Wilson and Professor Cage.

Wilson is a nominee for the highest American literary award, and Professor Cage is even more amazing, a nominee for the Nobel Prize in Mathematics. Think about what your daughter will be like under their guidance in the future!

Either of the two professors can recommend your daughter to the top universities in the United States. What are you waiting for George, think about the bad boys in your daughter's school who are surrounding her, your daughter's future is in your hands."

George was obviously moved, touching his chin, "I'll consider it."
