Chapter 9 - A Secretary?

Aaron asked, "Doesn't Kate go to school? Today isn't a day off."

Kate proudly lifted her head. "Those studies? I finished them a long time ago. I'm too lazy to play with those little brats."

"Later, I'm going to start my training plan. Mom signed me up for several courses like, Jiu-jitsu, Karate, Fencing..."

"Once I learn them all, I want to become as strong and righteous as you."

Kate's face was full of admiration. If Eleanor hadn't been holding her back, she would have rushed up and dragged Aaron away.

"Is that so? But I think you'd better not learn from me." Aaron's expression was strange.

"Why?"

"I'm not a righteous companion, I'm just a free-spirited citizen... ahem, an ordinary person."

Kate didn't believe him, but Aaron didn't explain in detail.

Anyway, he didn't want Kate to learn from him. He felt like he would lead her astray. Moreover, he wasn't that easy to learn from.

"Since you're here, can you give me a ride?" Aaron yawned, looking quite lazy.

Eleanor smiled. "Of course, I'd be happy to help you."

She naturally wouldn't refuse. Having the opportunity to get closer to Aaron would be of great benefit to both Bishop Security and Kate.

She could tell that Kate wouldn't be a peaceful person in the future. Since she wanted to soar and be a hero, then let her be.

The only thing she could do was support Kate without reservation and provide her with powerful logistics and sufficient protection.

With Aaron around, she believed Kate would be much safer in the future.

"So, where are we going next?"

"Osborn Industries."

"That's a big corporation. Are you going there for a job interview?"

Eleanor drove while observing Aaron through the rearview mirror.

"In a way, yes." Aaron nodded.

How could applying to be the boss not be considered an interview?

Eleanor was a little disappointed, keeping some words to herself.

Bishop Security was very rich, but Osborn was even richer. There was simply no comparison between the two.

Along the way, Kate chattered incessantly, talking about many things with Aaron.

One moment she was talking about how smart Iron Man was, the next she was talking about where to find good food in New York.

Aaron responded intermittently, but most of the talking was done by Kate. After all, he was genuinely unfamiliar with this place.

Even his visit to Osborn Industries yesterday was by accident.

Now, if he had to go by himself, well... he'd probably circle around New York for a while.

Soon.

The three arrived at Osborn Industries.

Seeing a large crowd of people standing at the entrance of the building, neatly lined up on both sides, seemingly welcoming some important person, Eleanor's face was full of regret. "It seems you won't have a chance to interview today. With this scene at Osborn, I'd guess the president is coming."

Aaron waved his hand. "It's fine."

Saying that, he unbuckled his seatbelt and got out of the car.

Eleanor wanted to say something more, but Aaron just waved to the back and then walked towards the crowd.

From a distance, Eleanor saw several people separate from the crowd and walk over.

The one leading them seemed to be Norman Osborn?

Kate's mouth hung open, and she hesitated. "Mom, they won't get beaten up, will they?"

"Huh?"

"They're clearly going to drive Aaron away. I have a feeling something big is going to happen."

Eleanor felt a little nervous at her words, but in the next moment, something surprising happened.

She saw Norman actually shake hands warmly with Aaron and even say something?

The mid-to-high-level executives of Osborn around Norman all wore smiles, not even having the right to speak, just smiling throughout.

This...

Who exactly was Aaron?

Had the President of the United States been replaced by Aaron? Why did she not know? Had those politicians finally realized the importance of cooperation?

Kate scratched her head. "Has the political climate changed recently? I haven't heard of this kind of thing."

And then, they watched with wide eyes as Aaron led the way towards the Osborn building.

He looked a bit displeased, seemingly very unhappy with the scene before him?

Norman, on the other hand, was smiling apologetically, but without any dissatisfaction.

And Aaron was walking in front, with Norman a step behind.

'Oh no, the fairy tale world and reality have merged.' Kate thought blankly.

Meanwhile.

Aaron, with a grim face, arrived at what was originally Norman's office.

"Sorry, boss, I thought you would like a warm welcome, so I took the liberty of creating this scene." Norman apologized cautiously, fearing Aaron's anger.

Aaron was originally very angry, mainly because he didn't like dealing with too many people, but seeing Norman act so cautious, his anger dissipated by more than half.

"Alright, don't do this next time, it's meaningless to me."

Norman nodded in understanding. Aaron was clearly no ordinary person. The spectacle ordinary people pursued was probably not worth mentioning to him. What he pursued was probably that divine position.

Or rather, he was already a god?

Thinking of this, Norman became even more restrained.

He twitched for a while, then still bit the bullet and said, "Boss, there's another matter. I've found several secretary candidates for you, responsible for handling your work and daily chores. What do you think? Would you like to take some time to interview them one-on-one?"

"Where are they?"

Aaron thought for a moment and felt it was necessary to get a secretary.

Although he didn't intend to interfere with Osborn's operations, he believed in entrusting professional matters to professionals. But considering that he would inevitably deal with some related affairs in the future, having a secretary to categorize and organize them for him would not be bad.

Of course, he absolutely did not make this decision because he noticed Norman's meaningful expression, absolutely not!

"I told them to wait in the reception room by 9 AM at the latest, and they're all there now. I'll have them come in one by one right away."

Norman stepped forward and opened a document. "These are their profiles. Please take a look."

After Norman left, Aaron glanced at the first file.

Name: Felicia

Gender: Female

Age: 21 years old

Marital Status: Single (No romantic history)

(Physical examination report)

...

After looking at the profile picture a few more times, Aaron realized.

No wonder she looked somewhat familiar. This woman was Harry Osborn's secretary in The Amazing Spider-Man 2. And she had a unique charm about her.

The first profile already surprised him.

Aaron subconsciously opened the second one. He glanced at it, and his expression changed.

Damn it, there's an internal spy.
