Ana's POV

Ridley stormed into my hospital room, his face twisted with rage as he fixed his glare on Morris.

"I told you to keep your distance from my wife," he snarled.

I could see Morris was already in a foul mood, and Ridley's aggression only seemed to make his temper flare hotter.

He started to force a smile, ready to fire back, but I cut him off first.

"He's Lisa's driver," I said, keeping my voice steady. "She sent him to bring me food. What's your problem with that?"

I mentioned Lisa deliberately.

When Morris heard me say Lisa's name so warmly, I caught the flash of satisfaction that crossed his face.

After all, Lisa, Morris, and I would be family soon enough.

Ridley finally figured out that Morris was working for Lisa.

He didn't push it further, but his expression stayed thunderous.

"I'll take care of my wife. Get out," he said, his voice like ice.
