Senior year of high school - that's when Aileen waltzed back into the Watson family like she owned the place.
I was already on edge when things went sideways with a classmate. One heated argument, and suddenly the girl was jumping off a building. Her family came after me like vultures, screaming about bullying and harassment.
The cops tore my life apart investigating every detail. They cleared me completely. But damage? Already done. Truth meant nothing to the gossip mill - teachers, students, everyone. In their eyes, I was a killer.
That's when the Watson family decided I was too much of an embarrassment. They started treating me like a dirty secret.
"Wait, is that really Ridley Collin's wife?" a voice cut through the crowd. "How young was she when she drove that kid to suicide?"
"Didn't she just get out of prison for hit-and-run?" another parent chimed in. "Saw it all over social media. Classic repeat offender."
