Ana's POV
I stayed curled up in bed for a while longer before finally dragging myself up.
I assumed Morris would already be at the office by now, but when I finished getting dressed and stepped out, there he was—working away in the living room.
Morris glanced up the moment I appeared.
He closed his laptop and walked over, that warm, confident smile spreading across his face like sunshine breaking through clouds.
Morris slipped his fingers through mine and brushed his lips against mine.
"Sleep okay?" Morris asked, his eyes dancing with mischief, making it obvious he meant way more than just sleep.
Heat crept up my neck to my ears. I ducked my head, trying to escape his knowing look. "I'm starving. Got anything to eat?"
"Already handled. Made breakfast earlier—just been keeping it warm for you," Morris said.
Morris had clearly been up early, putting together a whole spread and keeping everything perfect until I woke up.
