Morris's POV
My eyes locked with hers, the tempest brewing inside me colliding with her bewildered expression.
The time had come. I couldn't keep hiding who I really was, and maybe it was better if the truth came from me.
I took a deep breath, ready to spill everything, when Ana suddenly broke into laughter.
"Hold on, don't tell me. Is this some kind of office joke? Like he's the 'CEO' of the parking garage and you're the 'CEO' of the coffee station?" She shook her head, clearly entertained by her own theory. "That's so bizarre. You men and your ridiculous power trips. Do you all address each other as 'Mr.' just to stroke your egos?"
I stared at her, completely at a loss for words.
My stunned silence only seemed to amuse her more.
"Is that guy a buddy of yours? Did you two have some kind of fight?"
