Ana's POV
The impact sent me crashing to the floor, my skull connecting brutally with the wall's edge. Darkness swallowed me for a heartbeat.
When my vision cleared, Will stood there gripping a baseball bat.
Backlit and menacing, shadows consumed his handsome features, but his eyes burned with deadly intent.
I clutched my throbbing head, fighting to sit upright.
Looking at Will dragged me back to when he was wild and vicious, never holding back his punches.
I could still feel myself cowering in that corner, fists hammering my fragile frame until I heard my own bones snap.
Now Will wore an expensive suit, his hair perfectly styled.
His polished exterior had transformed into something sinister.
The bat dragged across the grimy floor, its screech echoing like a funeral dirge.
"You wrecked Aileen's leg and crushed her dreams. Didn't I make myself clear back then, Ana?" His voice cut through me like ice.
My body trembled as I watched him warily.
