Elisabeth's POV

A satisfied grin spread across my face as I watched Grady's nervous pacing outside the restaurant entrance. His agitation was palpable even from our hidden position across the street.

"You don't need to look quite so pleased with yourself," Alana commented dryly, shooting me an exasperated look. "My newly developed surveillance expertise is what brought us this far, remember?"

"Of course, Ana. Where would I be without your guidance?" I responded, mirroring her expression with equal sarcasm.

"I can detect the mockery in your voice, Mandy, but since I adore you, I'll overlook it." Her attention drifted toward the shadowy corner where Logan and two additional men waited for my signal. "I'll wager twenty dollars that he's curious about what lies beneath that thick sweater you've chosen to wear. Speaking of which, why exactly are you bundled up like that during a surveillance operation?"
