Chapter 5 - Chapter 4: The System

Chapter 4: The System

A day has passed since I arrived in this world. I've gathered a bit of information—well, I can't exactly move around freely yet.

First piece of information: this orphanage has a name. It's called Stella, and it's located in a small town named Lumen.

Second: the orphanage is close to a fortress. I don't know its name, but it's definitely nearby—like I said, I'm still a BABY.

Third and most important: we live in the Atlas Empire on the western continent. And just like the ancient voice explained, this world has swords and magic!

Okay, that's everything I've learned so far… Once again, I'm still tiny, so there's not much I can do.

Then there's the system that the mysterious voice gave me. Without wasting time, I call it out.

'System.'

As you can see, I have a system… and a new name—Milly gave me that one. Now, let's analyze this.

First: why are there question marks beside my race? I have no idea.

Does that mean I'm not a pure human? Who knows. I'll figure it out later.

Second: my mana core is locked. In this world, once a child turns ten, they undergo an awakening ceremony to unlock their mana and blessing.

But why does my blessing also show question marks?

Weird, right? Is it supposed to be like that?

Third: my Imagination skill. One word for it—Broken. Completely broken. Why? Let's take a look…

I tap on the skill. The screen flickers and a description pops up.

[Imagination]

Description: Allows the user to create anything—skills, techniques, weapons, and whatever else the user imagines, except money. The stronger the creation, the more mana required.

No matter how many times I read it, it's busted!

Then there are my stats. Aside from intelligence and charm, everything is abysmally low… well, considering I'm still a baby, that's normal.

Points and stat points—points can be converted into currency in this world. Stat points are used to increase my stats. Simple.

Ah, there's also a mission. I tap it.

[Mission]

Main Mission: Survive

Description: For every month you survive, all base stats will increase by one.

Side Missions:

Hehehe! The system is so kind! This is what a reincarnator's cheat looks like!

After staring at the blue screen for a while, I inhale deeply in my tiny baby lungs.

'Okay, my system is definitely OP…?'

I try lifting my body, but all that happens is my small head lifting a little before dropping back down.

"Ghh—!"

A tiny squeak escapes me.

While I'm still trying to catch my breath (as a baby), the door slowly opens. Milly walks in carrying a tray with a milk bottle and a small bowl of porridge. Her face is bright as always.

"Good morning~! Look who's awake! Wow, you look motivated today," she chirps, placing the tray on a small table.

She approaches and puts her hands on her hips.

"Were you trying to… sit up?"

I stare at her emotionlessly.

Milly laughs softly. "Haha, so cute~. You don't have to rush to become an adult, you know."

She lifts me gently and sits me on her lap.

"Hehe!" she giggles while pinching my cheek lightly.

I can only mumble, "Hmmph~."

Milly picks up the bottle and presses it to my lips.

"Drink first. I'll feed you porridge later. You must be hungry after sleeping all day, right?"

I look into her eyes. There's a strange warmth there—not quite like a caretaker.

For some reason, I feel safe.

As I drink, Milly begins humming softly.

A simple but beautiful tune. Sometimes she gazes out the window, then back at me with a gentle smile.

"So cute… feels like having a real little brother…" she whispers.

I want to say "thank you," but of course it comes out as:

"Uuhh~"

She chuckles. "Yeah, yeah. I love you too."

After finishing the bottle, she lays me on the small bed and pats my chest to help me sleep.

"I need to help the Sister, so take a nap, okay? I'll read you a story later."

She stands up and heads to the door, but pauses, glancing back at me.

"Weird baby…" she murmurs before leaving.

I stare at the door as it closes, then shift my gaze back to the ceiling.

'My journey is just beginning. Wait for me, outside world… I'm coming.'
