Synopsis
Every time, the same scene. The sun rises. Players arrive. They kill me. Then… everything starts all over again. I am an NPC. Just a shopkeeper. I sell them the weapons they need, and then they kill me for their EXP. At first… I didn’t understand it. I thought it was “natural.” Because this was just a game. But that day… Four players came. And unlike usual… they didn’t kill me. They came up to me and said: “We don’t want everything we’ve done all this time to just disappear. We have to leave. This game will set you free.”

Chapter 1 - beginning of the chronicle

[Server: Eterna Online | Time: 23:47 | Location: Abyssal Sovereign Dungeon - Final Chamber]

PROLOGUE: BEFORE THE GATES

Four silhouettes stood before the dungeon gates.

Behind them, hundreds of players—nearly half the server's population—had gathered to witness this moment live. Before their screens, thousands more held their breath, waiting for history to be written.

[Abyssal Sovereign Dungeon] [Recommended Level: 95+] [Recommended Party Size: 20-40 Players] [Current Participants: 4]

The stream of messages in the chat windows was relentless:

"Are they insane? Only four of them?" "That's the Black Dragon Drauveth! He incinerates a hundred players in a single breath!" "But this is the Legendary Four... if anyone can do it, it's them." "3... 2... 1... IT BEGINS!"

The gates opened.

The massive stone doors groaned, parting one after another. With each opening layer, a wave of dark energy pulsed outward, forcing the nearby spectators to stumble back.

A blast of scorching air rolled out from beneath the archway, carrying the heavy stench of sulfur and burnt flesh.

Kael took the first step.

His Titan Gauntlets flashed in the light—massive metal fists, each weighing forty kilograms, yet they moved as lightly as a second skin on him. Electric sparks danced across the surface of the metal, ionizing the air around him.

"The last battle," he said quietly. "After this, we go our separate ways. So... let's make it unforgettable."

Orryn stepped up beside him. The Celestial Shield rested on his shoulder—a two-meter tall bulwark forged of crystal and mithril, housing ancient defensive spirits. A ring of soft blue light orbited the shield lazily.

"Agreed," Orryn smiled. "The best stage for the best performance."

Zeyrad walked in silence. His Rune Blade lay dormant in its scabbard, but hundreds of ancient sigils flickered along the length of the sheath. Each rune represented a different fighting style, a different strategy—experience inscribed through hundreds of battles.

"Remember the plan," he said, his tone icy. "Phase One: Maintain position. Phase Two: Elemental combinations. Phase Three: Everything at once."

Syren remained in the shadows. Her body was translucent, shimmering at the edges—Shadow Cloak was active. She walked with her hands trailing black threads that seemed to move with a life of their own.

"I'm on overwatch," she whispered. "I'll signal when I find a weak point."

The four entered the dungeon.

The gates slammed shut behind them with a thunderous boom.

Outside, thousands of players stared at their screens, waiting.

DUNGEON INTERIOR: THE FIRST SIGHT

The corridor was shrouded in darkness.

Only the black crystals embedded in the walls offered any light, emitting a faint, ominous red glow to guide the way. The air crackled with electrical tension; every step felt like sandpaper against the skin.

They walked two hundred meters. No enemies appeared.

"Too quiet," Kael muttered. "I don't like it."

"Drauveth enjoys the game," Zeyrad replied. "He is watching us."

Suddenly, the ground shook.

The crystals on the walls flared violently. Before them, a colossal door materialized—ten meters high, forged of black metal, with the head of a dragon carved into its face.

The door slowly creaked open.

A wave of heat blasted them.

Then came the voice—low, rumbling, and dark.

"Finally... new toys have arrived."

APPEARANCE OF DRAUVETH

The chamber was immense—two hundred meters wide, with a ceiling soaring fifty meters high. In the center stood a black throne, surrounded by flowing rivers of lava.

Drauveth sat upon the throne.

He appeared humanoid in shape but towered at five meters tall. His body was encased in a shell of black steel, and six massive wings, each ten meters long, spanned out from his back. A jet-black helmet completely covered his face, revealing only his eyes—two burning rifts of crimson fire.

In his hand, he held the Spear of the Abyss—four meters long, its blade constantly weeping black smoke.

[Drauveth, Abyssal Sovereign] [Level: 150] [Boss Type: World Raid Boss] [HP: 50,000,000 / 50,000,000]

Drauveth stood up slowly. Every movement caused the earth to tremble.

"Four," he said, his voice echoing through the vast hall. "Are you brave, or are you merely fools?"

Kael slammed his fists together. Lightning sprayed outward. "Both!"

PHASE 1: POSITIONAL WARFARE

Drauveth spread his wings.

WHOOOOSH!

A blast of wind shook the entire chamber. Stone debris was ripped from the floor where the four stood.

Orryn leaped forward, slamming his shield into the ground.

"[Divine Barrier]!"

A wall of blue light erupted from the shield—ten meters high, forming a perfect semi-circle. The shockwave crashed against the light but could not penetrate it.

"Good defense," Drauveth chuckled. "But you cannot defeat me with defense alone."

He leveled his spear.

At the tip of the weapon, a sphere of black energy materialized—the size of a basketball, churning with dark lightning.

"[Abyss Spear]!"

The energy ball fired, breaking the sound barrier and leaving a distorted trail in the air.

Zeyrad vaulted forward, swinging his sword horizontally.

"[Counter Rune: Mirror Blade]!"

A flash of silver light erupted from his blade, meeting the energy ball head-on. The two forces collided in mid-air.

BOOOM!

The explosion consumed half the room. Shards of stone rained down like hail.

But the four remained unmoved—Orryn's Divine Barrier still protected them.

"Kael, now!" Zeyrad commanded.

Kael crouched low, gathering power. Lightning began to pool around his fists—first small sparks, then massive chains of electricity.

"[Lightning Emperor Strike]!"

He punched the ground.

CRAAAACK!

A fissure of lightning tore through the floor, racing straight toward Drauveth. The electricity disintegrated everything in its path, reaching the throne in an instant.

Drauveth folded his wings forward to block.

The lightning slammed into the wings. Metal and electricity shrieked as they fought for dominance.

VZZZZZZT!

The black shell on Drauveth's wings cracked. He shrieked—feeling pain for the first time.

"You... have annoyed me."

DRAUVETH'S FIRST ATTACK: THUNDER RAIN

Drauveth spread his wings and took to the sky.

Reaching the ceiling, he raised his spear high.

"[Abyss Thunder Storm]!"

The ceiling filled with dark clouds—artificial, yet terrifyingly real. Black lightning began to birth itself within the smoke.

The first bolt struck Orryn's shield—CRACK!—the shield shuddered.

A second, a third, a fourth...

Ten bolts struck every second.

Orryn held the shield with both hands, gritting his teeth. "I can't hold this... much longer!"

Syren emerged from the shadows. Aiming her hands at the ceiling, she fired her black threads.

"[Shadow Bind: Sky Chains]!"

The threads shot upward, slicing through the clouds. When they reached Drauveth's wings, they wrapped tightly around him.

Drauveth tried to flap his wings—the threads went taut, but they did not break.

"What... these are no ordinary threads!"

Syren laughed softly. "These are woven from Void Silk. Not even a Black Dragon can tear them."

Drauveth roared in fury. Black flames—[Abyss Flame]—erupted from his body to burn the threads.

But the silk did not burn. It merely glowed red.

"Now, Kael!" Zeyrad shouted.

KAEL'S COMBO ATTACK

Kael jumped, kicking off the walls—one meter, two meters, climbing higher with every bound.

He rose twenty meters into the air.

Pulling his fist back, he channeled every ounce of his strength.

"[Titan's Wrath: Maximum Output]!"

His gauntlets shone with the brightness of a supernova. The condensed lightning enveloped him until he resembled a small sun.

He drove his fist directly into Drauveth's face.

BOOOOOOM!

The sound of the impact echoed through the dungeon.

Drauveth plummeted—fast and uncontrolled. When he hit the ground, the floor shattered, and magma spewed forth.

[Drauveth HP: 50,000,000 → 47,200,000]

"2.8 million damage!" someone screamed in the chat. "THAT'S INHUMAN! A NORMAL PLAYER IS LUCKY TO HIT 50,000!"

Drauveth stood up slowly. His helmet was cracked, revealing part of his face—black skin, a red eye, and razor-sharp teeth.

He was no longer smiling.

"You... have forced me to play. Very well. Then I shall show you my true power."

Drauveth's body began to expand—growing from five meters to seven, then ten. His wings elongated to twenty meters. His spear grew with him, the blade igniting with black fire.

[Drauveth entered Phase 2: Abyss Awakening] [All stats increased by 300%] [New skills unlocked]

Zeyrad narrowed his eyes. "Phase Two has begun. Everyone, brace yourselves!"

PHASE 2: ELEMENTAL INFERNO

Drauveth slammed his spear into the earth.

KRAAANG!

The entire chamber shook violently. Black crystals began to erupt from the ground—sharp, tall, and deadly.

"[Abyss Crystal Field]!"

The crystals grew rapidly, covering the floor. Just moving was difficult, let alone fighting.

Orryn leaped forward, smashing his shield down.

"[Holy Smash]!"

A wave of light pulsed from the shield, shattering the nearby crystals into dust. A clearing was made.

"We hold position here!" Zeyrad ordered.

Drauveth flew up, spinning his spear in a circle.

"[Elemental Chaos: Fire and Ice]!"

Red fire poured from one end of the spear, blue ice from the other. They swirled together, raining down on the chamber.

Fire and ice fell simultaneously—where fire hit, the ground exploded; where ice hit, it froze instantly, trapping anything it touched.

Orryn raised his shield overhead, covering the group.

"[Heavenly Dome]!"

A transparent, unbreakable dome materialized from the shield. Fire and ice crashed against it, deflecting harmlessly to the sides.

But Drauveth did not stop. He spun the spear again.

"[Elemental Chaos: Lightning and Darkness]!"

This time, a rain of lightning and pure shadow descended.

The dome began to tremble. Sweat poured down Orryn's forehead. "I... can't hold this forever!"

Zeyrad leaped out, pointing his sword at the sky.

"[Rune Art: Elemental Reversal]!"

A wave of runes shot from his blade, ascending to intercept Drauveth's magic. The runes pulsed, then shattered, reflecting the spell in the opposite direction—back at Drauveth!

Drauveth froze in shock. He watched his own magic—lightning and darkness—rushing back toward him.

"[Abyss Shield]!"

He wrapped his wings around himself to form a barrier. The magic struck him, but the damage was mitigated.

[Drauveth HP: 47,200,000 → 45,800,000]

KAEL'S ULTIMATE: TITAN RAGE

Kael stood on the ground below. His body was shaking, his eyes glowing white.

He clenched his fists, sending a shockwave through the air.

"I... am giving everything!"

A ring of electricity formed around his body—starting small, then expanding wildly. Lightning arcs lashed out, striking the ground, the walls, the ceiling.

[Skill Activated: Titan Rage Mode] [Duration: 60 seconds] [Effect: All physical attacks deal 500% damage, but HP drains 1% per second]

Kael's body seemed to bulk up, muscles tearing against his armor. His gauntlets shone with blinding intensity.

"DRAUVETH! HERE I COME!"

He launched himself from the ground—clearing thirty meters in a single jump.

Drauveth thrust his spear forward.

"[Abyss Piercer]!"

The spear flew toward Kael.

Kael slapped the spear aside with his bare gauntlet—CLANG!—the sound of metal screaming filled the room.

The spear was knocked off course.

Kael drove his second fist into Drauveth's chest.

"[TITAN CRUSH]!"

BOOOOOOOOM!

Drauveth's armor shattered. He was launched backward, smashing into the far wall.

[Drauveth HP: 45,800,000 → 41,000,000]

"4.8 MILLION DAMAGE!" The chat windows were in hysteria. "IS HE EVEN HUMAN?!"

DRAUVETH'S FURY: PHASE 3

Drauveth pulled himself from the wall. His armor was in ruins, his wings torn, a deep wound across his face.

But his eyes... his eyes were infernos.

"ENOUGH!"

He raised his spear to the heavens and screamed:

"[ABYSS DOMAIN: WORLD OF SHADOWS]!"

The entire room plunged into absolute darkness.

Only Drauveth's red eyes were visible.

Nothing else existed—no floor, no walls, no allies.

Just the void.

Kael looked around frantically. "Orryn? Zeyrad? Syren?!"

No answer.

Suddenly, a black hand materialized from the darkness behind him, grabbing his arm.

"What—"

Another hand. And another. Hundreds of black hands erupted from the nothingness, dragging Kael down.

"LET GO!"

He thrashed, discharging lightning, vaporizing the hands. But they instantly reformed.

Elsewhere, Orryn held his shield up, but in the darkness, he was blind.

Suddenly, Drauveth's silhouette appeared directly in front of him.

"[Abyss Strike]!"

The spear slammed into Orryn's shield. The Celestial Shield groaned, cracked, and finally shattered.

Orryn was flung backward, crashing into the unseen floor.

[Orryn HP: 100% → 45%]

"The shield... is broken..."

Zeyrad stood perfectly still in the darkness. His eyes were closed.

You cannot see in the dark. But... you can feel.

He held his sword horizontally. He steadied his breathing.

Drauveth is on the right. Fifteen meters. Moving fast.

He swung the blade.

"[Rune Art: Blind Strike]!"

A line of silver light sliced through the void—so fast it left an afterimage even in the blackness.

The line cut through Drauveth's body.

[Drauveth HP: 41,000,000 → 39,500,000]

Drauveth screamed. "How did you see me?!"

Zeyrad smiled faintly. "I didn't use my eyes."

SYREN'S ULTIMATE: SHADOW QUEEN MODE

In the deepest part of the darkness stood Syren.

Her body had completely merged with the shadows. Even Drauveth could not detect her.

She spread her arms and whispered:

"[Ultimate Skill: Shadow Queen's Domain]!"

Thousands of black threads erupted from her body, spreading through the entire chamber like a nervous system.

They passed through the walls, through the floor, and straight into Drauveth's body.

Drauveth tried to move. "What... these threads are inside me?!"

Syren's voice echoed from everywhere at once. "Yes. And now, you are my puppet."

She snapped her fingers.

The threads tightened.

Drauveth's body was forced to bend. His arms, legs, and wings all obeyed Syren's command, locking him in place.

"THIS... IS IMPOSSIBLE!"

Syren laughed. "Under the reign of the Shadow Queen, everything is possible."

THE FINAL BLOW: UNITY STRIKE

The darkness dispersed.

The four could see each other again.

Drauveth stood paralyzed, suspended in Syren's web.

Zeyrad stepped forward. "This is our final chance. Combine everything!"

Kael raised his fists, gathering the last of his lightning. Orryn gathered the shards of his shield, converting them into pure light energy. Zeyrad raised his sword to the sky, summoning every rune. Syren pulled the threads tighter.

"[Unity Skill: Legendary Four's Final Strike]!"

Four energies erupted simultaneously: Lightning from Kael (Yellow). Light from Orryn (White). Runes from Zeyrad (Silver). Shadow from Syren (Black).

The four energies converged in the center—directly on Drauveth's chest.

FAAAAAASSSH!

An explosion followed—all colors merging into a single, blinding beam of white light that obliterated everything in its path.

Drauveth's body began to disintegrate.

His final scream shook the foundations of the dungeon.

"YOU... HAVE... DEFEATED ME... BUT... REMEMBER... I... SHALL RETURN..."

And then, he turned to dust.

[DUNGEON CLEARED] [ABYSSAL SOVEREIGN DEFEATED] [Time: 47 minutes 23 seconds] [First Clear Achieved] [Congratulations: IronFistEmperor, RelicCrown, GrandStrategist, ShadowAssassin]

[Server-wide Announcement] "HISTORY HAS BEEN WRITTEN! The Legendary Four have defeated the Abyssal Sovereign! Their names shall be remembered forever!"

The chat windows exploded:

"I SAW IT!" "HISTORY! THIS IS ACTUAL HISTORY!" "THEY ARE THE STRONGEST!"
