I wasn't surprised when I woke up to see that the room was empty. I really hadn't expected him to come back last night, but a small part of me still couldn't help but wonder if he would. It was stupid of me and I should have known better. Mason did whatever he wanted, and yesterday, he made it clear to me that I wasn't something or that he wanted.
I brushed off the thoughts and sat up, then I stretched my muscles because for some reason, it felt sore. I had been restless through the night and my mind refused to stop thinking about Mason and his unusual behavior but now, there was no use thinking about him now because I had more important things to focus on. If he wanted to push me aside, then I'd do the same to him.
I got out of bed and went straight to the bathroom and after I got dressed in the bathroom and sat back down on the bed. I wasn't in the mood to speak to anyone so I decided to stay back but just as I was beginning to relax, I heard a knock on the door.
