Chapter 1 - Chapter 1: An Incredible transformation

Boom~~~

Boom~~~

Boom~~~

A warm, comforting liquid pulsed through Xiao's tiny body in rhythm with his heartbeat, saturating him with a blissful heaviness. He felt so relaxed, so completely at ease, that he didn't want to move.

Then a warm current swept through him. It flowed through his limbs, coiling along his spine until it reached the center of his back.

With a crisp chirp, his spine seemed to pulse violently, as if trying to break free from his body.

It felt strange, yes—but the pleasure that followed was intoxicating. Xiao couldn't help but revel in it.

Time slipped by unnoticed. When the warmth finally faded, Xiao blinked open his eyes in confusion.

'I'm not at home… am I? Where… am I?'

He lifted his tiny hand with effort and turned his head.

Xiao had to admit—it felt like lying in an incubator. Around him, other children were treated the same way, all hooked to IV drips connected to their umbilical cords, infused with some unfamiliar medicine.

Outside the incubator, the infusion stand held only a small amount of the shimmering sea-blue liquid. The injection was almost finished; the alarm on the IV tube glowed red.

In Xiao's eyes, the liquid gleamed like a gemstone, flecked with tiny points of starlight, more dazzling than anything he had ever seen.

'I've… traveled through time? And become a baby?'

'The incubator, the blue potion, the strange warm currents—it's all so familiar…'

'No… I'm a test subject!'

In his memories, this was exactly the scenario of a child whisked away to an evil scientist's lab, undergoing a sinister transformation. But Xiao's tiny brain couldn't hold such thoughts for long. He quickly drifted back to sleep.

As a baby, Xiao slept most of the time. Even when he woke, he remained groggy and disoriented, spending hours in the same quiet, hazy state.

Every now and then, he would stir for a while, but nothing about his surroundings changed. The incubator, the IV connected to his umbilical cord, the unchanging blue medicine—they were all constant.

Though it felt like he was a guinea pig for some twisted experiment, his fragile mind couldn't dwell on it, and his small body lacked the strength to resist.

Perhaps it was the mysterious potion, but since gaining consciousness, Xiao had eaten nothing—and yet he never felt hunger. Instead, he felt his body growing stronger. The medicine was clearly transforming him.

Whenever he awoke, he tried to consciously control his breathing, quicken his heartbeat, and accelerate the warm currents through his body, hoping to absorb more of the potion. He didn't know if it worked—but his instinctive greed for power drove him onward.

Stronger power meant a better chance of escaping the hands of evil scientists. And this miraculous potion—perhaps the only opportunity to strengthen himself now and in the future—was not something he intended to waste.

So Xiao focused. He absorbed, he endured, he sought more of the blue liquid with single-minded determination.

Time passed. Xiao's transformation continued, and he began to notice something curious: he didn't appear to be a mere test subject.

The children around him were all cared for in ways a laboratory experiment never could manage. He saw what he assumed were his parents more than once—their loving gazes, gentle touches, the kind of affection reserved only for children. No evil scientist would ever bother bringing parents into a lab to tend to test subjects.

And over time, the other babies were collected by their parents one by one.

"???"

Xiao's tiny mind spun with confusion.

'Then… it's not evil scientists? Is this… some kind of interstellar era transformation program?'

Even without full understanding, Xiao's hunger for growth didn't falter. The medicine continued to flow, and he continued to absorb it, knowing instinctively that each drop expanded his potential.

But his parents' faces were not calm. With every child taken, their worry and guilt deepened. Meanwhile, the white-coated caretakers, once purely clinical, now watched the transformations with awe and delight.

Edited Passage

Xiao realized all of this was the result of absorbing too much of the mysterious medicine. Part of him wanted it to end quickly, but another part still felt hungry for more power. His body wasn't saturated yet—it could take more.

So, in the face of his parents' growing worry, Xiao decided to let them fret a little longer. After all, worry wouldn't kill anyone, and every drop of the potion might shape his future potential.

He didn't know how long it took, but eventually Xiao felt full—truly overstuffed—and the warmth no longer seeped into him. His transformation might have been complete, but before he could even realize it, a pair of cool hands pressed against his tiny stomach. The infusion tube was pulled out with a sharp sting, and a hemostatic patch was applied.

Pain shot through him. Tears spilled uncontrollably, and Xiao couldn't stop crying.

"Fa Q,… @%!*(u0026)@#, Bichi…"

His mother's curses rang clearly, even if he didn't fully understand English. Some words a baby didn't need a dictionary to comprehend.

Then, he was scooped up into a soft, warm embrace. Her gentle pats and soothing hum slowly coaxed him back to calm. The comfort of his mother's arms was irresistible; his cries faded, and sleep claimed him once more.

When he awoke again, they were home. Life had begun anew.

Ten Years Later

A decade had passed since Xiao arrived in this world.

As he grew, he gradually pieced together the truth about his new life. In this timeline, he was born on April 22, 1980, in a hospital in Metropolitan America. He had a new family, new parents, and a new name: Sebastian Xiao—a name reflecting both heritage and elegance.

Mother: Theresa Xiao, a full-time housewife; blonde, blue-eyed, American-born, and devoted to caring for her son.Father: Xiao Xingxiu, originally from China, director of a small factory producing paints and coatings for home decoration.

At first, Xiao thought he had landed in a parallel Earth, one he could exploit using memories of his past life to become a powerful capitalist.

But as he learned to read, write, and speak, he realized this world was far stranger than he imagined. It wasn't just a parallel Earth—it was a world where extraordinary powers were real.

Here, superheroes were no longer hidden; they were household names. Among them, Soldier Boy and his Blood Debt Squad were national idols—not just heroes, but stars, celebrated worldwide.

Xiao soon understood that, beneath the glittering surface, these "heroes" were little more than tools of media hype. War heroes in this world were carefully crafted propaganda; ordinary people's contributions were erased.

These superheroes weren't paragons of virtue. They were flawed, greedy, and often corrupt, their powers amplifying the worst of human desires. Some even used their abilities to commit crimes, and they were notoriously difficult to control.

The root of all this power traced back to Vought International. Using Compound V—a substance originally developed by Nazi scientists—Vought created superhumans to sell movies, merchandise, and influence, amassing vast fortunes while manipulating the world stage.

In short, superheroes here were just mortals with extraordinary abilities, dressed up as legends for profit.
