Chapter 11 - Chapter 11: We Fight Until The End Part 1

Constantine snapped his fingers and looked straight at Batman.

"We literally just got help from gods — beings with power on a completely different level — and that thing still treated them like children playing around."

Batman sat quietly in his chair, staring at the blue planet through the Watchtower window. The others stood or sat around him in heavy silence.

Superman hasn't said a word since he left to absorb more power from the sun," Martian Manhunter said calmly.

"It's already been a full week," Green Lantern added as he walked through the sliding door. "Where could he even be right now?"

Constantine's eyes suddenly turned pure white. His body slowly lifted off the ground, hands moving in strange, glowing patterns.

"What are you doing, Constantine?" Batman asked, rising from his chair.

"I'm calling two very powerful beings… but not from this timeline," Constantine answered. "From the version of the timeline where they've already reached their true, full strength."

A blazing red portal tore open in the floor.

"This is insane, Constantine!" Cyborg shouted, aiming his arm cannon. "We can't handle any more threats to the planet!"

"Stand down, Cyborg," Batman ordered sharply.

*Beep-beep-beep-beep!*

"Guys… we have a problem," Flash burst in, voice shaking.

On the huge monitor, Zeus narrowed his eyes and smiled darkly.

"He's here."

He cracked his knuckles.

"This time… I'd rather die than lose again."

"Goku is back. I repeat — Goku is back," Batman's voice echoed through every hero's comms.

"All available Justice League members, assemble in Metropolis. No backup is coming. The moment you see him… do whatever it takes to stop him."

Constantine, I hope you know what you're doing," Batman muttered.

He sprinted toward the teleporter with the others.

In a flash of light, they were gone.

Metropolis – Daily planet...

Goku slowly stretched out his right hand.

Bright blue energy swirled and gathered in his palm.

"We're not letting you destroy everything," Batman said coldly.

He fired a massive missile from his utility belt.

The explosion rocked the city, collapsing several empty buildings.

"Good thing we evacuated everyone," Shazam said with a fierce grin as he dropped from the sky. "No holding back now."

"You should just accept it and die," Goku said simply.

He released a small pulse of energy.

The dust and smoke instantly cleared away.

"Justice League — take him down!" Batman commanded.

The heroes charged.

"Goku… I sense something strong. But it's not coming from these guys."

"I feel it too, Zeno," Goku answered with a small smile. "This might actually be fun after all. No more holding back."

Flash moved first — a red blur racing up buildings, trying to flank him.

But in a blink, Goku was gone.

He reappeared behind Barry, grabbed him by the throat, crushed his neck with one hand, then slammed a brutal punch into his stomach.

Flash's body shot backward like a cannonball, smashing straight through three skyscrapers.

"FLASH!" several voices screamed in horror.

Shazam and Zeus dove from the sky together, roaring thunder and blinding lightning splitting the darkness they created.

Goku raised one arm and blocked the storm.

His fist crashed into Zeus's face at the same moment his knee drove deep into Shazam's chest.

Blood sprayed from both gods' mouths.

With a single, casual blast — they were both smashed into the pavement, craters forming beneath them.

The street went quiet for a second.

Only the crackling of broken concrete and distant thunder remained.

Cyborg didn't hesitate.

His shoulder cannons roared to life, unleashing a storm of powerful missiles straight at Goku.

At the same instant, Green Lantern threw up both hands.

A glowing green prison snapped shut around Goku like an unbreakable cage — trapping him and every incoming missile inside.

The missiles detonated.

The explosion was deafening.

The green prison shattered into thousands of sparkling shards that rained down across the street like deadly confetti.

Goku burst out of the smoke cloud, eyes blazing.

He threw a single, earth-shaking punch directly at Cyborg's chest.

Cyborg's systems reacted in a flash — mechanical arms crossed to block.

The impact rang like a gong.

Sparks flew.

Warning lights flashed across Cyborg's visor.

The block held… but his whole upper body was wrecked, circuits fried, armor cracked. No quick fix this time.

Cyborg coughed black smoke from his vents, flooding the area in a thick, choking cloud.

Using the cover, he rocketed backward at full thrusters, putting distance between him and the monster.

Goku waved one hand.

The smoke scattered instantly like it had never existed.

Before he could move again, thick chains whipped up from the cracked pavement.

Kratos — massive, scarred, and furious — had appeared from below.

The Blades of Chaos wrapped tight around Goku's ankle.

With a savage roar, Kratos yanked with every ounce of godly strength.

Goku was ripped off his feet and slammed face-first into the concrete.

The ground buckled under the impact, a new crater forming.

Goku didn't stay down.

In less than a heartbeat, he flipped back to his feet, grinning.

He spread both arms wide.

Hundreds of bright blue energy spheres formed around him — spinning, crackling, deadly.

With a flick of his wrists, he sent them flying in every direction.

The energy orbs screamed through the air like guided missiles, hunting every hero still standing.

The sky above Metropolis lit up with explosions as the Justice League and their unlikely allies scattered, dodging, blocking, and countering the deadly barrage.

The fight had only just begun — and Goku still looked like he was having the time of his life.
