Outside the towering treehouse, Trevenant watched the other Pokémon busily moving furniture inside. It leaned against its own massive trunk, a trace of longing in its crimson eyes. It had built this masterpiece, yet it was too enormous to ever step through the doors it had carved.
"Trevenant," Kaito called out, sensing the guardian's melancholy. "Do you want to experience the inside of your own creation?"
The Forest King nodded instinctively, then shook its head, looking at its mountain-sized limbs. Kaito reached into his pocket and produced a glowing, undersized bean—a Shrinking Rolling Bean.
"Eat this. It will let you experience being small for a while."
Trevenant swallowed the bean. In an instant, its colossal frame began to retract, folding inward until it reached the size of a standard Trevenant. The guardian stared at its "magnified" surroundings in shock. With a joyful roar, it stepped through the main entrance of the treehouse. Kaito smiled; he had enough beans to keep Trevenant in this state indefinitely if it wished.
Cinccino's Promotion
Back at the villa, Cinccino was in a trance of cleanliness. Its oily, static-proof fur acted like a magnetic broom, leaving the sofa glowing with a "golden light" in its eyes. Kaito walked in and scooped up the hardworking chinchilla.
"You deserve a reward for keeping our home so spotless," Kaito said, handing it a pure white Silk Scarf.
The secret treasure erupted in a dazzling light.

Cinccino hugged the scarf fur, its eyes curved like crescent moons. It gave Kaito a grateful squeeze, feeling more powerful and sleek than ever.
Mimikyu's First Step
On the training ground, Pichu was cheering for Mimikyu. The ghost was practicing its Shadow Claw on a wooden stake, its dark energy leaving deep gouges in the timber.
"Mimikyu," Kaito approached, "do you want to try a real battle? Not against a stake, but a real opponent."
Mimikyu's small eyes gleamed behind its cloth mask. It wanted to know what it felt like to stand in the spotlight like Greninja and Infernape. It nodded resolutely.
The Master and the Old Ginger
At the Fairy Gym, a senior challenger named Zhou Weimin had reached the final stage. Despite his age, the old man's eyes were sharp, and his posture was robust. Kaito stepped onto the field. "Old man, mind if I take this round? A little friend here wants to test its spirit."
The battle began: Mimikyu vs. Marowak (Lv. 45, Elite-tier).
Zhou Weimin didn't hesitate. "Swords Dance!" Marowak's aura spiked. Kaito countered calmly: "Burning Jealousy."
Mimikyu released spectral flames that homed in on Marowak. Because Marowak had just boosted its stats, the [Burning Jealousy] effect triggered a guaranteed Burn. Zhou Weimin grit his teeth. A burn would cripple Marowak's physical power! He ordered a desperate Belly Drum followed by Bone Rush.
The bone club flew like a javelin, striking Mimikyu with a massive explosion. The dust cleared to reveal Mimikyu's head tilted—its [Disguise] had been broken, but it had taken zero damage. Before the old man could react to a second Bone Rush, the "Mimikyu" on the field dissipated into smoke.
"A Substitute?!" Zhou screamed, accidentally pulling out a few beard hairs in shock.
The real Mimikyu materialized at Marowak's side, its claws wreathed in Grass-type energy. A powerful Wood Hammer (learned through breeding/training) slammed into the ground-type. Marowak was sent flying, unconscious.
"A master is truly a master," Zhou Weimin sighed, though a smile played on his lips. He had fulfilled his dream of sparring with a world-class talent. Kaito awarded him the badge regardless, respecting the skill the old man had honed over a lifetime.
Mimikyu looked at its hands, feeling a surge of accomplishment. Battling wasn't just about winning; it was about the thrill of the "genuine" experience.
Kaito has led Mimikyu to its first victory and promoted Cinccino to the Elite Four level! With the Friend Flowers on the verge of blooming across the mountainside, will Kaito's next move be to invite the world's media for the grand opening, or will the Alolan Diglett uncover a new mutation that changes the farm forever?
