"He forced his way in," Song Yue said quickly. "I tried to chase him out, but he wouldn't leave."
As she spoke, she instinctively raised a hand to her neck, half-covering it.
Nie Rougang noticed at once. He reached out and gently pulled her hand aside.
A red mark stood out clearly against her skin.
The temperature in his gaze dropped. "Did he kiss you?"
"When you knocked," Song Yue answered honestly, "he kissed my neck."
The air seemed to freeze.
"Anywhere else?" Nie Rougang demanded. His fingers were already tugging her collar aside, checking. His eyes caught the faint bruise on her chest.
"That wasn't him!" Song Yue rushed to explain. "Song Weisha did that. He only kissed my neck. Nothing else."
Nie Rougang's jaw tightened. "I made you learn taekwondo," he said coldly. "You can't even deal with Song Weisha? She hit you. Why didn't you hit back?"
