We all got into our own beds and thirty minutes later Luna, Sunset and Starlight were asleep. But I couldn't sleep at all because my mind was racing with too many thoughts and worries. Feeling restless, I took a walk in an effort to distract myself from the overwhelming thoughts that was flooding my mind. I created a flickering flame, it formed a majestic tiger that proceeded to playfully circle around me. I saw five shadows. I were just about to attack when one monster came out of the corner, it was Cole, I signed it was just the other ghoul.
"Is everything alright?" I asked. Me and Cole glanced at each other, and gave each other a cold stare, neither of us wanting to say anything. There was a silence for a few seconds before Sunset spoke up.
"Well since we are all awake, should we start training you ghouls into controlling your powers" Sunset said, Luna,
We followed them into a room full of training material like a dumbbell set, weight plates, pullup bars and a little arena ect.
"Okay our first lesson: transforming" Starlight said, Cole, Luna, and I all stared at each other not knowing how to respond to that.
"All of you guys have amulets, right." Arthur said. We all nodded.
"Each one utters a unique word to unlock your greater abilities. This enhances your powers and offers protection, so a single blow won't be fatal, probably" Luka said.
"What happens if the amulet just falls off? Are we just gonna get hit and die?" Luna asked.
"Of coursed not!" Luka said, we all sighed in relief.
"Your body would just spontaneous combustion,"
"What?!" We all yelled. Sunset slapped Arthur across the head.
"He's kidding! He;s just messing with you ghouls! You're kidding right?!" Sunset, eyes filled with disdain and disapproval.
"Yeah, totally kidding" he tried to play it off, but it wasn't convincing.
"If we have amulets do you monsters have amulets too?"
They took them out, Starlight's was a choker, and it had stars and shooting stars on it, it was black. Arthur's were pants chains, Sunset's was a charm bracelet, with a sun and butterflies, and Luka's was also pants chains.
Amidst the chaos, a deafening cacophony of roaring and thunderous stomping reverberated through the air outside the castle walls. Partially crumbling, the fortress was under siege. Frantic soldiers dashed out, their weapons drawn. Colossal thousand-foot-tall octopus loomed menacingly. Accompanied by harpies and vampire bats swooping and darting around, engaged in a fierce aerial battle against the valiant defenders below..
"Well I guess you monsters can use your powers in action" Luka looks at the others "You ghouls ready?" They all nodded.
"Arthur! Icy snowbound!"
"Starlight! Moonlit mirage!"
"Luka! Wings of the rising sun!"
"Sunset! The sunbeam shadows!"
Both Sunset and Starlight gracefully twirled in the air, Starlight's outfit, a mesmerizing blend of dark purple and black in her dress, contrasted beautifully with her pink boots. Meanwhile, Sunset shimmered with a radiant glow in her vivid yellow attire, perfectly complemented by her striking yellow boots. Their flowing hair cascaded down their backs, adding to their ethereal appearance. Completing their looks with elegant gloves. Luka and Arthur stood by, perfectly coordinated in their outfits, while Arthur and Sunset enhanced their regal elegance with a majestic crown and a sparkling tiara.
Sunset gestured to our amulets. Luna, Cole, and I glances at ours and to our surprise they did have word on it as well.
"Luna, the forbidden tide?"
"Sky, heavenly fury?"
"Cole, plant growth earthquake?" We all said at the same time. When we said these words a big ball of light came out of nowhere, and trapped us in a bubble.
We found ourselves enclosed in bubbles, each shimmering with an unique hue my bubble a serene blue, Luna's a mysterious dark blue, and Cole's a vibrant green. Remarkably, our eyes began to emit a mesmerizing glow, my outfit morphed into a rose red, strapless, dress with a lighter red and a flared skirt, often with transparent or layered fabric. Luna's appearances was a blue, ensemble featuring a cropped, blue and blue dress with a diamond cutout and sheer, sparkly blue mesh that flows from her hips to the floor. Adorning our dainty tiaras, Luna's shimmering in shades of blue, and mine a shade of red. Our footwear altered into sleek high-heeled boots, and gloves graced our hands. Meanwhile, Cole, had a black collared shirt with white trim, worn under a white military jacket with black accents and decorative buttons. He also has white gloves, a black belt, and white pants tucked into black boots that reach mid-thigh. A black cloak with gold decoration and blue gems. The once-illuminated space around Luna dimmed.
"How come the light went away for me?" Luna asked, the room got silent and awkward.
"The longer and brighter the light the more stronger your powers are" Arthur put an arm around Luna and she seemed okay with it. The light started to grow so bright every monster had to cover their eyes. Cole's and my hair rose above our heads.
"I have never seen a light's shine that bright have any of you ghouls?" Arthur asked they all shook their heads. Finally the light went away and we slowly came back to the ground.
"What's with the crowns?" Cole asked.
"That means that you are either royalty or you are going to get married to royalty" Well I guess me, Luna, and Cole are going to get married to royalty, because neither of us are royals.
Starlight and Sunset flew to the sky, Sunset launched a big ball of light and hit a few of the harpy's and vampires, Starlight did the same but instead of light it was stars, Arthur used his sword to slice them open and Luka shot them with his arrows.
"How do we use our powers?" Cole yelled up at them. We were all trying to doge the blasted the harpies and vampires were shooting at us.
"Concentrate, the more you do the easier and powerful it will be" Starlight said, blocking the attacks from a vampire.
Luna easily used her shadow magic to appear behind four of the harpies and used her water powers to shoot them away. Cole used his electricity to shock them. I used my fire power to burn them to a crisp. We were able to scare away the vampires and the harpys. For some reason we couldn't stop using our powers, Luna started appearing everywhere that there was a shadow, my hands started catching more and more on fire, and Cole started electrocuting us. We all screamed and fell to the ground. The shock was killing all of us. Cole was able to stop, he ran over to us and helped us up.
"You guys okay?" we all slowly got to our feet.
"We're okay Cole" Sunset said.
"What's that smell?!" I whipped around. I smelled something very familiar, something dangerous, something vicious, I started walking away sniffing out why the smelled so familiar. Me and Cole's eyes narrow, it couldn't be, he left two years ago, he couldn't still be here can he? A vampire swooped down, grabbed me and threw me into a cage. It all happened so fast no monster could do anything, around the cage was a shiny pinkish purple light but you couldn't pass through it at all, one started screeching something.
"We got her know let's go back to master" they screeched at each other. I tried to hit them with my force field but it seemed like it got stronger the more times I hit it.
"SKY!" They yelled trying to get past the vampires and harpy but it wasn't enough.
