Chapter 7 - Chapter 7

Casio's POV

Staring into her beautiful blue eyes for a few seconds before turning my attention back to the steering wheel. I put the car into gear and pulled away from the curb. Noticing Whitney's cheeks were red, I reached over and placed my hand on her leg. I could feel her stiffen, and a smile appeared on my face. A soft chuckle escaped.

"What's so funny?" She asked, her eyes fixed on me.

I glanced over to her, "Your reaction. I know what I want, and now you're the one that I want." My voice was low but full of truth. "And if I want something, I make sure that I get it." A grin played on my face. Her mouth opened then closed again, like she was trying to find the words to say. Then she looked away shyly, "Little Daisy. Don't be shy or embarrassed, just be yourself. That's all I ask." I squeezed her leg softly.

My phone rang, and I removed my hand from her leg and took it out of my jacket pocket. It was Zack calling me, "Sorry, I need to take this." Whitney nodded understandingly. I swiped the answer button and placed the phone against my ear, "Yes?" He informed me that they have traced the number that was texting Whitney. My expression darkened as he told me the location. "Noted. Send me the address and I'll handle it personally." Disconnecting the call, I put away my phone.

"Everything okay?" She looked at me with worry.

"Everything is fine. After I drop you, I have some business to attend to. Just promise me that you'll put up the curtains."

She nodded with a smile, "Of course. I was planning to put them up. Don't want to be stared at when I'm sleeping." She chuckled nervously.

"You can call me anytime if you feel unsafe or uncomfortable. Or just for anything in general. I will be there." Giving her a wink. I could tell that her cheeks turned bright red as she turned away. All I could do was smile. I have never smiled so much in my life. She brought out a side to me that I didn't even know existed. We arrived at her apartment building; I climbed out, and she followed. I grabbed her bag filled with curtains, and she took it out of my hand.

"What are you doing, Little Daisy?" I looked at her with one eyebrow raised.

"Taking my bag, because you have work to do, and carrying it up to my apartment will delay you. So, I can carry it myself." I just looked at her, "I'll be fine…" She then said nervously.

Nodding, I tugged a strand of hair behind her ear, then cupped her face. "Sleep tight. Please, for any reason, call me." I leaned in and gave him a passionate kiss. I tried savoring the touch of her lips against mine. Pulling away slowly, I stared into her eyes, "I meant what I said. You're what I want, and I will do anything." Giving one last kiss, I waited for her to enter the building before climbing back into the car.

Driving off, I headed to the location my men had sent me. I arrived at an abandoned warehouse. Turning off the ignition, I took out my gun from under my seat. I climbed out and looked around, scanning the area for any suspicious movement. Taking out my phone, I dialed Zack's number. He answered on the second ring, "Sir?" His voice came over the phone.

"Are you sure this is the correct location? I'm standing at an abandoned warehouse."

"That is where the first text came from. Then the second text came from where she said she saw him." Scanning, I saw nothing out of the ordinary. Hearing him typing away on his computer, "Sir, I tracked the numbers' locations. But…"

"But what, Zack?" My tone was filled with annoyance.

"It shows that whoever it is, is on the move. It shows that it's heading to where the second text had been sent."

My heart pounded in my chest, and anger started to flow through my veins. I quickly made my way back to my car. "Thanks." Disconnecting the call, I put the car in gear and drove through the streets to Whitney's apartment. It took me ten minutes to get there. As I got out of the car, the doorman stood there and greeted me, but I didn't give him much attention. I only asked him one simple question: what floor was Whitney on?

He gave me the floor and apartment number. This was something I had to look into, because this man was giving out information like that. Fuck, I pressed the elevator button, but it was taking too long, so I made my way over to the stairs. I ran as fast as I could, finally reaching her floor. Looking through the apartment numbers, I found hers and knocked. It was almost like I was about to break down the door.

The door opened slowly, and Whitney's eyes widened, "Casio? What are you doing here?" She opened the door completely, without saying a word. I stepped inside, scanning the area. Noticing she hadn't put up the curtains yet. "What the hell is going on?" Her voice was laced with anger and annoyance.

"Why haven't you hung the curtains yet?" I said my voice sternly.

"I haven't gotten to it yet. What's going on?" I looked at her and saw she was in her pajamas.

Making my way over to the windows, I scanned to see if I could spot anyone. I let out a sigh, "Just put up the curtains tonight." I walked over to the door and then looked at her. Noticing she was confused and angry at the same time. "Sorry, Little Daisy. I just had to make sure you were okay."

She tilted her head slightly, "Why wouldn't I be? You barge in here, acting like a crazy person, and not telling me what's going on."

Cupping her face in my hands, I looked into her eyes, "Just trust me. Okay?"

"How do you expect me to trust you if you can't even tell me what's going on? Just… Just leave, please." She looked away from my gaze. Anger fuelled me, but I knew I shouldn't take it out on her.

"Just get those curtains up, and lock everything." I turned to exit her apartment, then stopped and spun myself around and grabbed her around her waist, pulling her in. She stood frozen as I looked into her eyes. I cupped her face and then kissed her. Even if she was mad at me, she kissed me back. Pulling back, "Fuck, you're perfect." Her eyes narrowed as confusion was written all over her face. Grinning, I loosen my grip and walked through the door, "Curtains!" I said as I made my way down the hallway.
