Chapter 28 - Chapter 28 Practicing Combat

Federer found Odis's sparring partners to be experienced and highly skilled in combat, and they usually sparred with senior members of the club.

When he was talking to Odis just now, he was also a little surprised. He didn't expect Federer to let him spar with a novice.

But as the sparring partner shouted "start," Odis, while extending his right hand, suddenly stepped forward and struck the sparring partner in the chest with his outstretched palm, sending him flying.

The sparring partner stood up, clutching his chest. If it had been a punch, he would definitely be injured.

Odis quickly went to help her up: "Are you alright?"

It was his first time using martial arts to fight someone, and he didn't know his own strength. Unexpectedly, he easily pushed the person away.

"It's alright, it's alright." The sparring partner was a little embarrassed: "I wasn't ready just now, I wasn't ready, let's try again!"

I must have been careless just now.

The two faced each other again, each assuming a ready stance.

The sparring partner noticed that Odis's ready stance was a bit strange; his body was slightly bent, and his fists were one in front of the other.

This pose looks a bit strange. The sparring partner asked, "Is this just a preparatory pose for which style of martial arts?"

Odis paused for a moment before replying, "Sent by Emperor Roselle!"

This was actually the starting stance of Bajiquan in his memory. After becoming a "fighting scholar," Odis, who had only watched movies and videos about Bajiquan, discovered that he was also quite proficient in this style of boxing.

But this is, after all, a "mysterious world," and no one knows anything about Bajiquan, so they simply used Russell as a shield.

The sparring partner was slightly taken aback: "Emperor Roselle also knows martial arts?"

Fortunately, he didn't delve into it further. Instead, he took a deep breath and prepared himself: "Begin!"

This time, the sparring partner struck first, using a leg sweep to attack Odis's seemingly unstable legs.

Odis crouched slightly, bending his body like a boiled shrimp. He first used his arms to block the sparring partner's attack, then suddenly exerted his strength, using his shoulder to send the sparring partner flying.

Odis showed mercy, using his entire shoulder to push against the head instead of his hard acromion.

If you use your shoulder, you can easily injure your sparring partner's internal organs.

The sparring partner was stunned in mid-air. The blow had knocked him out of the bouncy training area, and he was probably going to fall on his butt.

But just as he was about to land, he was suddenly pushed back by a force and stood firmly on his feet.

The sparring partner turned around and saw: "Mr. Fred."

Before he knew it, the tall, thin Fred was already standing behind him: "Go and rest for a bit, I'll practice with him."

The sparring partner was slightly taken aback and stepped back to the side.

Odis looked at Fred across from her and smiled, "Sorry, I don't think I was able to control my strength."

"I know," Fred said, adopting a ready stance. "I can tell you don't mean to hurt anyone."

"Come on, get ready, start!"

Fred suddenly threw a right punch, and Odis ducked to avoid Fred's attack. Because of the punch, Fred raised his right arm, exposing his entire right armpit to Odis.

Odis struck suddenly before his opponent's left fist came flying.

But to Odis's surprise, Fred kicked out with his right leg at that moment, managing to hit Odis in the chest first.

Odis immediately crossed his arms and blocked his way.

Thump~

The kick landed on Odis's arms, and with the force of Fred's kick, Odis's feet left the ground as if he had been kicked away, but he quickly and lightly landed on the ground again.

All of this happened very quickly; in the blink of an eye, the fight between the two was over.

Only then did Odis have time to think: the opening created by Fred's punch was a trap!

Fred said, "I understand what kind of practice you need. Today I'll teach you the first thing: your eyes must be faster than your fists!"

He then attacked again, and just like before, Odis managed to defend against Fred's attack, but he had no chance to retaliate.

Soon, their practice attracted the attention of the surrounding club members, who came forward to watch.

Although Odis was at a disadvantage throughout, the fight between the two was still very exciting, showcasing their fighting skills to the fullest!

After practicing for about an hour, Fred suddenly stopped: "That's enough for today."

"Thank you," Odis said sincerely.

He didn't leave the fight club immediately, but instead began to review each of his fights. He would immediately practice the parts he understood and experience them.

After his promotion, Odis had an exceptional memory. He could basically remember every exchange they had just had, so he spent more than three hours reviewing what he had practiced in just one hour.

During the debriefing, Odis suspected that Fred was also an extraordinary fighter skilled in combat.

Not a single mistake, not a single poem, not a single post, not a single piece of content, not a single look!

During his practice session with his sparring partner just now, Odis could feel that even though he had never been exposed to combat before, with the help of the potion, his fighting skills had far surpassed those of ordinary people.

Only the extraordinary can be his opponent.

It was already evening when I left the club. Thick fog had enveloped the streets and alleys, and all I could see were the swaying lanterns in the distance.

Arriving at the public horse station on the street, Odis waited for a carriage with some people who were getting off work.

He glanced at the club again, and a middle-aged man in his forties, looking somewhat disheveled, came into view.

Odis had noticed earlier that the middle-aged man had been observing him.

Upon sensing Odis's gaze, the middle-aged man smiled generously, then looked towards the direction of the club.

Odis didn't sense any danger, so he didn't pay much attention.

Just then, a newsboy passed by, hawking his evening paper at the station: "News from the *Ruen Evening News*: Mrs. Mary, the wealthy woman from the anthracite coal mine, has been threatened by an unknown force... The warships of the Kingdom of Ruen and the Empire of Fusak engaged in a brief standoff in the southern part of Sonia Island..."

"And there's also the Daily Observer's report on the current situation in the East District..."

Odis recalled the reporter named Mike, whom he remembered Klein had once protected when he went to the East End for an interview: "Give me a copy of the Daily Observer."

He took out a coin from his pocket, handed it to the newsboy, and received a newspaper in return.

Sure enough, the front page of the Daily Observer featured a detailed report about the East End.

After watching for a while, the carriage arrived. Odis sat in the carriage and continued reading. At this moment, he saw a report about Ms. Mandy "recruiting new people" in the East District.

Although it wasn't explicitly stated that it was Ms. Mandy, Odis knew that the person being referred to in the report was her.

Many people who have been to the "Nanmu Ballroom" will know that this refers to Ms. Mandy.

Odis couldn't help but frown. After all, it was a gray industry, something that couldn't be brought to light. It was necessary to talk to that reporter.
