Chapter 8 - Chapter 8: I Gave You a Chance, But You Failed

The instant Leon shouted "Robbery!", the entire service area fell silent.

Everyone stared at him like he was insane.

Who in their right mind shouted "robbery" at a Host Carriage?

Host Carriages were also known as the Mystery Carriages—

because no one actually knew how many people they could hold.

A small van could fit over a dozen people.

A carriage this massive? Probably dozens, maybe more.

No wonder everyone looked at Leon like he'd lost his mind.

Which normal person would dare rob this kind of vehicle?

"Boss lady! Some idiot outside is yelling that he wants to rob us!"

Inside the host carriage, a trembling underling ran to report to his leader.

Before he could finish speaking—

SMACK!

A thick slap landed on his face.

"I'm not deaf or blind, idiot!"

She raised her hand and pointed forward.

Through the windshield, Leon could be clearly seen standing below—

and not only visible, his voice carried perfectly inside.

Which showed that the carriage's soundproofing was terrible.

"What kind of fool is he? I'm the one robbing this carriage! Why is he here shouting!?"

"You, you, you, and you—

go down and take care of him!"

The boss lady randomly pointed to four subordinates, and they rushed out immediately, terrified but obedient.

Once outside, they surrounded Leon.

"What's this? Bullying me with numbers now?"

Leon frowned, then let out a cold snort.

That snort alone showed he wasn't afraid at all.

"Come on! Don't say I didn't give you a chance!"

"You rotten potatoes and moldy eggs—

attack me together!"

Leon lifted his right hand and curled a finger at them provocatively.

"Brothers! Let's go!"

"Teach him a lesson!"

The group charged at him and began punching and kicking.

Leon didn't even flinch.

These small fry had pathetically weak attack power.

They couldn't even scratch his defense.

"Having fun? Good. Now it's my turn."

Leon swung his sandbag-sized fist and punched one man directly in the eye.

"Hey! No sportsmanship! Don't you know you're not supposed to hit the eyes!?"

The man covered his eye and whined nonstop.

"You all ganged up on me, and you dare talk about martial ethics?"

"Shove your martial ethics!"

Leon snapped—and kicked the man right in the vital spot.

AWHOOOO!

PAIN.

UNBEARABLE PAIN.

The man's legs trembled violently before he collapsed to the ground, twitching.

The others shivered at the sight.

"Don't look away. It's your turn."

"Consecutive Lethal Kicks!!"

Kick after kick—

every single one hit a vital point with deadly precision.

The men dropped one after another, writhing on the ground in agony.

One particularly tough guy crawled away, legs squeezed together, rolling himself back into the Host Carriage.

"Lady Alvida! That host down there is too strong! All the boys are down!"

"Trash!"

The leader—Alvida—glared at her subordinates, grabbed her massive spiked club, and stomped off the carriage.

"Damn… you're HUGE."

The moment Leon saw her, the words slipped from his mouth:

"Big fat pig."

Instantly, everyone inside the carriage trembled.

The atmosphere froze like ice.

"Oh no… he said it… He called Lady Alvida a fat pig!"

"That's forbidden! Lady Alvida's taboo!"

"He's dead—he's absolutely dead! Lady Alvida will smash him into paste!"

Alvida glanced at her men sprawled across the ground, then fixed her furious eyes on Leon.

"Not bad. You managed to knock down several of my men."

"It's not that I'm strong—

it's that your men are embarrassingly weak."

"You fat pig, stop stalling!"

"Come on! Let's fight!"

The repeated words "fat pig" completely ignited Alvida's fury.

She roared, lifted her massive spiked club, and charged at Leon.

With a booming crash, the club struck Leon directly on the head.

Leon didn't dodge.

He wanted to test how much force she had.

And more importantly—he had another goal:

To improve his damage absorption ability.

Right now, his Damage Absorption was only Level 1, capable of withstanding one ton.

He needed to increase its resilience through repeated hits.

"You fat pig… I gave you a chance, but you failed."

"For someone this big… you're astonishingly weak."

"You're a classic case of water-weight obesity!"

"That's an illness. You seriously need treatment…"
