Those weren't random Shadow Balls.
Those were CHAMPION-GARDEVOIR Shadow Balls.
And Greninja was out here
playing kickball with them.
This wasn't just unreasonable—
This was an illegal levels of unreasonable.
At this point, Greninja's power had completely surpassed even Mega Gardevoir.
What kind of monster was this?!
When Greninja kicked away the last Shadow Ball, he stepped hard—
leaping straight into the sky!

A moment so breathtaking the entire world felt chills:
The water vortex surrounding Greninja burst apart like a shattering cocoon.
The surging water reshaped—
becoming butterfly-like wings behind Greninja's back.
And then—
Those wings condensed into a massive water shuriken,
strapped across Greninja's back like a divine weapon.
A subtitle appeared across the screen:
"This shuriken… is the proof of their bond."
For the first time, the entire world saw Greninja's new form clearly—
His silhouette, markings, posture—
Everything was different from a normal Greninja.
Those who hadn't noticed the change earlier finally understood—

It's edge slicing the air itself.

Gardevoir gathered all her strength—
forming a giant Shadow Ball that pulsed with full Champion-tier power.
BOOM!!
The two ultimate attacks collided!
The clash of water and ghostly energy tore the air apart.
The force of the collision…It
was even more intense than Pikachu's clashes with the legendary giants.
After several seconds of earth-shaking struggle—
A crack formed.
Then widened—
Greninja's Water Shuriken finally broke through,
splitting the Shadow Ball apart—
And slammed straight into Gardevoir!
She was flung tens of meters away,
crashing to the ground, battered and barely able to rise.
Gardevoir was still conscious—
But her stamina was already flickering like a dying flame.
Greninja landed gracefully—
ready to end it.
The world held its breath.
This was it.
This was the finishing blow.
Ash shouted—
But then—
Ash's pupils shrank sharply.
And he collapsed.
Right there on the ground.
Greninja's body glowed blue—
then reverted to his normal form—
and collapsed as well.
The world froze.
And then—

They walk away.
Unforgivable!!
Just like in the original canon—
Greninja was only one hit away from defeating Mega Gardevoir.
That last Cut would've sealed the win.
But the writers stepped in.
The plot dragged them both down.
The price of keeping Ash on his journey…
was a forced draw.
