Chapter 3 - Chapter 3 The Silly Daily Life

"Ah? Oh oh oh..."

Peter Parker's eyes were dazed. He only snapped out of it when he heard Zeon's voice, stiffly throwing the backpack back to Zeon.

The backpack arced gracefully through the air, landing precisely in Zeon's hand.

After putting on the backpack, Zeon looked at the handsome boy, smiled, extended his right hand, and said,

"OK, thank you very much! My name is Zeon. If it's too much trouble, you can just call me Z. And you?"

Looking at Zeon's outstretched hand, Peter Parker's expression instantly became incredibly strange, like he was thinking, "When God closes a window for you, he must have also slammed a door on your head."

He said stiffly,

"Uh... I'm Peter Parker, your classmate and deskmate. We've been sitting together for almost a year, 312 days to be exact.

I thought you were just being humble when you said your memory wasn't good, since all Chinese people are like that, but I didn't expect you to be telling the truth..."

"..."

Zeon looked at the verbose person in front of him, his eyes very peculiar.

Verbose, Midtown High School, plus the name Peter Parker... it could basically be confirmed that this guy was the famous Spider-Man.

However, he probably hadn't been bitten by a spider yet, hadn't been chosen by the Spider Totem, so he was still just an ordinary and somewhat insecure high school student.

Speaking of which, with Peter Parker's incredible IQ and research capabilities, why would he be insecure?

If it were him, he wouldn't say he wouldn't eat beef, but at least he'd make Hawking stand up and toast him.

"Hey, Z! What are you thinking about? Are you listening to me?"

Seeing Zeon's vacant look, Peter Parker waved his hand in front of him.

"Oh oh, sorry, I was a bit distracted just now. Well, it's getting late, let's hurry inside, or we'll be late."

For some reason, Peter Parker felt that Zeon was acting strange today.

As soon as Zeon and Peter Parker disappeared around the corner of the teaching building, the crowd of onlookers at the school gate erupted into a "boom."

"Did you guys see that? Damn! That umbrella was like it was alive in his hands! Flash and his gang were all down in a few swipes!"

A boy in a baseball cap gestured excitedly, making incomprehensible screams.

"That's definitely Chinese Kung Fu! I've seen it on YouTube, Chinese Kung Fu masters can beat people with knives using chopsticks!"

Another boy's eyes lit up. He mimicked Zeon's umbrella-spinning moves, almost hitting the head of the person next to him.

Several girls huddled together, whispering,

"He looked so cool with that umbrella just now!"

A substitute player on the football team turned pale, rubbing the corner of his mouth that Flash had bruised yesterday, and said,

"God, didn't you see him poking people? If he poked an eye..."

He shivered and didn't continue.

A Black girl with glasses pushed up her frames and whispered to her companion,

"I know him! His name is Jiu'an Zhi, I think. Last semester in P.E., he couldn't even do three pull-ups..."

"No way!"

A chorus of gasps immediately broke out... At the same time, inside the teaching building, Zeon, who had been walking ahead, suddenly stopped, a thoughtful expression on his face.

Seeing his situation, Peter Parker felt a bit confused, so he caught up and asked curiously,

"Didn't you just say we needed to go to class? Why did you suddenly stop?"

Hearing this, Zeon looked at Peter Parker's curious eyes, smiled slightly, and said in an enigmatic tone,

"I suddenly feel that in the long journey of life, the most important thing is not reaching the destination, but the contemplation and gains made during the process.

The Earth is round. As long as we have a goal, no matter which direction we start from, and no matter how long the process takes, we will eventually reach our destination one day."

"Say something I can understand, Mr. Shakespeare!"

"...Alright, I forgot which classroom we have class in, so I desperately need a kind and righteous good person to lead the way. I'd be very grateful to him."

"...Were you lobotomized?!"

Peter Parker painfully clutched his forehead, wearing an expression that said, "If I can't curse at you, then I have nothing to say to you."

They'd been deskmates for almost a year, how had he never noticed that Zeon was such a sandy sculpture?!

Just as Peter Parker was about to lead Zeon to the classroom, a clear and pleasant girl's voice suddenly came from behind them.

"Good morning, Peter! And Z?! You're actually still at school?"

Both of them turned around in unison and immediately saw a girl with a high Horsetail, a capable and steady demeanor, and a very beautiful face.

However, Zeon had no impression of her. He could only nudge the Peter Parker next to him and whisper,

"Peter, who is she? Why is she greeting us? Do we know her?"

Hearing this, Peter Parker was even more speechless and said weakly,

"She's Gwen Stacy, our classmate. She's been sitting in front of you for almost a year, big brother!

Did you really get that frontal lobotomy last night?"

Zeon ignored Peter Parker's jab and asked again,

"Oh~ I see. Then why does she seem so surprised to see me here?"

"Hmm... let's just say, you're much rarer than your two black and white compatriots at the Atlanta Zoo."

"Hiss—!"

Zeon instantly gasped, never expecting that the original owner was so considerate, having laid such a deep foundation for his future truancy and skipping classes!

Original owner, you will forever live in my heart!

But Zeon was a little curious. The original owner had a vivid memory of even Flash, that muscular brute, so why did he have no impression of this youthful and beautiful girl who sat in front of him?

But after Gwen Stacy walked over, he understood the original owner.

Nothing else, when Gwen Stacy walked over, she casually pulled up her jacket zipper, and that zipper went "zzzzip" all the way up, without any obstruction!

In terms of frontal armor, even stuffing two soybeans into Peter Parker's clothes would probably be more eye-catching than her.

Gwen Stacy suddenly narrowed her eyes and said with some uncertainty,

"I seem to feel someone slandering me, and it's the kind that's baseless and disregards facts!"

Hearing this, Zeon immediately retracted his gaze, slapped Peter Parker on the shoulder, and said with a beaming smile,

"Is there? Impossible, right?! How could there be such bad people in the World! Well, it's getting late, let's hurry to the classroom. We don't want to be late."

Zeon once again used the class-distraction tactic and pushed Peter Parker in front of him.

Gwen Stacy looked at Zeon's face, which was full of guilt, suspiciously. It looked exactly like he was saying,

"Don't look at me like I don't care about you; actually, I've said a lot of bad things about you behind your back!"
