Chapter 3 - Chapter 3: The House of the Lamb

"Sure enough, I still need to find an opportunity. I'll make my move once we're in a secluded place." Milim's expression was calm, but the killing intent in her eyes didn't diminish in the slightest.

Setting aside the future impact the nun would have on Linlin, her identity as a human trafficker alone was enough for Milim to tear her to shreds.

Milim didn't have to wait long. The ship quickly docked, and the nun was the first to step ashore, turning to introduce herself to the two girls.

"In a little while, I'll take you to your new home, the Home of the Lambs! There, you'll make new friends, and they won't treat you like a monster, Linlin." During this time, the nun had already understood why Linlin had been abandoned.

At such a young age, she had already killed a giant and was thrown onto a deserted island as a monster. In the eyes of ordinary people, Linlin was definitely a monster, but in the nun's eyes, it was a bonus.

Once such a gifted child was sold, it would be more profitable than selling 100 children before.

Just as the nun was about to say more, a dragon claw directly pierced through her entire chest.

The nun's eyes widened in disbelief as she looked at the dragon claw piercing her. She looked up and saw the short little girl she had been ignoring.

She was looking at herself with cold eyes.

Before the nun could say anything else, Milim pulled out the dragon claw, and the nun collapsed. Milim disdainfully tossed the heart, a symbol of life, into the sea!

Linlin was a little slow to react. What was happening? Why did her sister suddenly kill this nun who had come to save them?

Seeing Linlin's dazed expression, Milim flicked her forehead.

"This person is bad. She wants to sell us for money!"

"Is that so?" Linlin tilted her head and thought for a moment. Although she was a bit confused, she ultimately believed that her sister wouldn't lie to her.

"Then this person is a villain! How dare she try to trick me!" Linlin grabbed the nun's leg and swung her violently.

Under this immense force, the nun's body quickly disappeared.

When Linlin calmed down, she looked at her dignified sister and scratched her head sheepishly.

"I threw it away!"

Milim sighed. Since it was already thrown away, what could she do? After all, Linlin was her younger sister.

Originally, Milim had planned to take the nun's body to the Home of the Lambs to recruit some subordinates. After all, all the children in the Home of the Lambs possessed extraordinary talents and various races.

These people could serve as capital for sailing. Otherwise, did she expect Linlin to pilot the ship?

However, going directly wouldn't make much difference. Anyway, there were just a bunch of kids there, and a little coaxing would probably be enough.

But the nun hadn't mentioned the exact location of the Home of the Lambs, which meant Milim would have to search for it.

"Linlin, wait for me here for a moment." Milim said to Linlin, then a dragon wing extended from her back, and she soared into the sky.

"She's flying! So amazing! I want to fly too." Linlin watched her sister fly into the sky, her eyes filled with curiosity and envy.

But since her sister told her to wait here, Linlin could only wait. She pulled out a fruit from the bag full of fruits in her arms.

What Linlin didn't notice was that the moment she picked up the fruit, it suddenly changed, and she immediately ate it.

She chewed it twice and swallowed it.

Milim flew high in the sky, her Dragon Eye constantly scanning the villages below. In a short while, Milim had already found her target.

She flew down from the sky, and just as she was about to call Linlin to go to the Home of the Lambs together, she noticed blue flames igniting on Linlin's body.

Milim was startled. Ignoring everything else, she grabbed Linlin and pressed her into the sea. The seawater didn't stop the flames from burning, but Linlin's struggling strength became soft and weak.

Understanding, the calm Milim knew what was happening and pulled Linlin up again.

Linlin lay on the shore, spitting out a large amount of water, and asked somewhat aggrievedly, "Sister, did Linlin do something wrong? Why did you throw Linlin into the sea?"

"Hahahaha! I'm sorry, Linlin. I saw fire on you and thought you were on fire, so I wanted to throw you into the sea to extinguish the flames." Milim said, scratching her cheek, a little embarrassed.

"By the way, Linlin, have you eaten any nasty-tasting fruits?"

"So that's what it was. I did eat a very nasty-tasting fruit just now, and then flames suddenly appeared on my body."

"Is this the Devil Fruit you mentioned, Sister?" Linlin suddenly thought of something. She excitedly waved her hands, wanting to fly like Milim, but unlike Milim, Linlin's original hands transformed into bird wings.

Linlin also flew into the sky.

Looking at this familiar ability, Milim's past memories were attacking her.

This is the Phoenix Devil Fruit! This Devil Fruit, which possesses almost immortal vitality, can instantly regenerate even if it's cut in half.

Now this fruit had become Linlin's ability. Just thinking about Linlin's steel balloon physique combined with this almost immortal recovery ability...

Milim shivered. The thought of that scene was terrifying.

"This is going to be a lot of fun!"

After watching Linlin play for a while, Milim explained the weaknesses of the Devil Fruit to Linlin while walking towards the Home of the Lambs.

Arriving at the entrance of the Home of the Lambs, Milim kicked the door open and then shouted loudly, "Everyone, come out!"

Hearing the noise, the orphans of the Home of the Lambs came out of their rooms, somewhat scared, but when they saw that the one who kicked the door was just a small child...

The orphans suddenly became emboldened.

"You little runt, why did you kick our door?"

"If you don't give an explanation, do you believe we'll beat you?"

"Hmph! You seem very arrogant." Milim put her hands on her hips and showed a wicked smile.

"Then try it, you little brats."

The children here were all young and naturally couldn't hold back after being provoked.

They swarmed towards Milim, wanting to teach her a lesson.

However, the final result was that Milim kicked each of them away.

Some of the older children struggled to get up from the ground and stood in front of the younger children.

"I warn you, the giants will soon discover the commotion here. You'd best leave early."

"Hmph, I want to leave too, but a nun asked me to look after you." Milim revealed a sneering smile.

The boy's eyes widened at these words: "How can that be? If you're looking after us, then where did the nun go?"

"She died."

"How is that possible? You're lying to us. How could such a good person like the nun die?" The children all looked at Milim with expressions of disbelief.

"Originally, she didn't have to die, but she saw someone fall into the sea, so she eagerly swam over to try and save that person. In the end, both of them were directly swallowed by a giant fish."

"Anyway, there's no way they could have survived." Milim shrugged regretfully.

Linlin whispered from behind, "Sister, are you lying?"

Milim replied in a low voice, "Shut up!"
