Chapter 10 - Stranger To The Sun

I have loved you in the fire,

Where your voice was stiff like acid

Hastening to fuel my uncertainty.

I have loved you like a house of myrrh,

Embalming ghosted memoirs to stay placcid,

And simmer with low heat, waxen impassivity.

I have loved you in chaos,

Your apathy tingling my fervor, a symphony

Played for the deaf, a recipe for disaster.

I have loved you in borrowed hours,

Where midnights were allies , and honey

Dripped from your lips, from my eyes_laughter.

You love me now like a blood red moon

Trapped in the sky, beautiful but strange .
