Chapter 9 - Chapter VIII

I didn't realize that my tears were already falling. And I suddenly came to my senses when Tasha tapped me.

"Clai?? Are you okay?" As she asks me with full of concern.

"Yeah, I'm okay," I smiled at her.

"Wait, were you listening to what I said? Because I've noticed you've been spacing out since earlier?" she asked me seriously.

"Of course, girl. You're really different when you're in love, best friend, so intense! But you should get to know him well first; remember what I told you," I said seriously.

"Avoid being readily seduced by someone's appearance since, occasionally, beauty may also be lethal." She added.

"Good," I genuinely smiled at her.

"Oh, best friend, there he is," and she stood up from her seat.

"Go away, shoo!" I teased her.

"Byeeeee² best friend, wish me good luck then," As she winks on me.

"Okay, good luck," I said softly.

"Don't you dare hurt Tasha, or you're really dead to me; she cries ugly!" I just chuckled.

"Excuse me?" he protested.

"Don't mind her, Shawn, she's just kidding," As she pushes him out of our place.

"No, I'm serious," I shouted before they disappeared from my sight.

I talked for an hour and then decided to eat because my stomach was already rumbling. After I eat, Sir Matthias's secretary called, saying that I was being called to the office because there was a meeting.

Secretary walks in

"Uhmmmm... Excuse me? Miss Claiden? Sir Matthias called you for an urgent meeting," She formally said.

"Oh! Yeah sure... Thanks," I said briefly then smiled at her.

And she smiles back then bows as her response then leaves after.
