Chapter 4 - Chapter 4

Melody's POV

After we ate I sat down on the couch patting my tummy. That was so damn delicious. Then my eyes drifted to the calendar.

I froze. June 10th. General sanitation day.

"Girl I need to go to my dorm. Today is General Sanitation Day." I said as jumping on my feet.

"Ugh. Why today?" Stella groaned throwing her head back against the touch. "We just came back from six hours lecture, we ate and now you want to do cleaning? Aren't you over working yourself?" Stella replied as her smile dropped down instantly.

I grabbed my bag and took my slippers. I know General Sanitation Day isn't a great day for Stella but come on you need to keep your surroundings clean. I may not be allergic to dirt but it sends a shiver down my spine if I see one.

I already knew what to expect: A heap of clothes that has been in the laundry basket last week. I'd forgotten to wash them but I blame it on the back to back lectures and pure exhaustion. With a heavy sigh, I scooped the tangled mess into the washing machine. I added detergent but of course I couldn't forget to add the lavender scent one. The smell made me fell I wasn't alone.

As the washing machine rumbled I rolled up my sleeves and got to work. I got the scrubbing brush and cleaning supplies and headed to the floor, sink and toilet. The bathroom and toilet were joined but at least it can close. I started the sink; white toothpaste stains with and hairs from rushed mornings. My least thing to scrub. The lavender scent mixed with a tang bleach. It was a weird and funny odor but somehow comforting.

Finally it was starting to get clean. To be honest it is stressful to clean but the end is worth it.
