Chapter 2 - Chapter II: Prologue (part 2)

2022.

A go-karting champion on a national level. A 13 year old with an interesting talent and a promising future. This is Ebi, short for Ebrahim.

With thick, dark black hair fell in soft waves, full of natural volume, the ends lifting just enough to catch the light. Warm, sun-kissed skin and a slim, slightly angular face gave him a youthful charm, while deep-set dark brown eyes could be serious one moment and sparkling with mischief the next. Dark, gently arched eyebrows added intensity to his naturally relaxed lips and subtle jawline. Standing around 4'8" with a lean, wiry frame, he moved with a light, agile grace, effortlessly switching between moments of surprising maturity and cheeky playfulness.

He was effortlessly attractive.

The way he carried himself so nonchalantly, running his hand through his hair every while and then, made girls fall head over heels for him. The way he spoke, so smooth and mature, had just about everyone drooling over him and dying to talk to him.

That's not all. Ebrahim had an astonishing talent. He could keep calm under racing pressure and control his kart's speed nearly perfectly. He could handle races way longer than anything karting could offer. He had insane concentration abilities that would surpass any normal human being.

If you'd look at him, you'd think that he's that careless, cool guy, who thinks that he's the main character and lowkey has a perfect life. But he is not.

Yep he's the loud one in his friend group. The extroverted one. But on the inside, nah, he's a thinker. An overthinker to be exact.

Ebrahim had 2 older brothers; Yameen and Ismail, an older sister; Arwah and a younger brother; Hashim. Yameen and Ismail were both college students. Arwah was a fresh graduate from year 11, IGCSE. Hashim was only a mere 4th grader, yet he was solid with Ebi.

In school Ebrahim was the popular guy. A few weeks back, he went to Pakistan to visit family. Students went wild the day he returned, all racing to talk to him and ask about his trip.

Once again I repeat, his life was perfect. Literally, figuratively, any way you like. It was all calm and smooth, but it wasn't going to stay like that for long.

Watch Ebi in a few years. See the tables turn.
