Chapter 14 - Chapter 14 Iron Man's Theory of Freezing and Preservation

"Rhodey, where did Captain America crash-land in the end?"

Iron Man had been lost in thought, but then, as if something suddenly occurred to him, he looked up and asked Rhodey.

"In the Arctic Ocean."

Coulson answered first.

When it came to intelligence on this matter, Coulson was more accurate than Rhodey.

"The Arctic Ocean, huh?"

Iron Man slapped his hand, as if a certain deduction in his mind had been confirmed. "That's it!"

"Tony, what did you think of?" Rhodey asked, a little curious.

"Actually, I really do have a theory!" Iron Man shrugged, and under the gaze of Rhodey and Coulson, confidently stated his idea.

"After Captain America crashed, he was frozen in the cold waters of the Arctic Ocean!"

"The extreme cold caused Captain America's metabolism to almost stop. In other words, the extreme cold prolonged Captain America's life!"

"It's like… frozen preservation."

"It's that simple!"

"Captain America was frozen in the Arctic Ocean for seventy years, and then, he broke free from the ice!"

"This is also why Captain America didn't die, but left no trace for these seventy years!"

"Tony!" Rhodey was speechless. "What kind of person could survive for seventy years in that environment?"

"Do you know how many homeless people freeze to death in New York every winter? Let alone spending seventy years in the Arctic Ocean."

"That's why Captain America is a super-soldier!" Iron Man said, looking invigorated.

"Indeed, that is also a possibility." Coulson nodded.

Theoretically, the possibility Iron Man mentioned also existed.

"I trust my judgment! After the quiz is over, I will go to the Arctic Ocean to search, and I believe I will find something!"

Iron Man said, full of confidence.

"I hope you do find something!" Coulson nodded sincerely.

If Captain America could be found so simply, it would save everyone a lot of trouble.

"Alright, let's stop discussing Captain America and talk about the Endgame!" Rhodey said to everyone seriously.

Iron Man and Coulson's expressions also became solemn and serious.

The Endgame was a battle concerning the life and death of the entire Earth, and no one dared to be careless or underestimate it.

"First, let me briefly summarize: this Endgame is a war launched by the cosmic overlord Thanos, leading an alien army, against Earth."

"The motive for their war is unknown, but the six Infinity Stones have an almost decisive impact on the success or failure of this battle."

"What we can do now is to search for these six Infinity Stones in advance, as well as the future superheroes shown in the video."

"Do you have anything else to add?"

After Rhodey finished speaking, he looked at Iron Man and Coulson and asked.

Both shook their heads. In fact, there wasn't much they could do, and Rhodey had already summarized everything for them.

However, Coulson secretly thought that perhaps he could ask Nick Fury to inquire with Captain Marvel; she might know about Thanos.

After all, Captain Marvel was constantly traversing the galaxy.

But Coulson also knew that although Nick Fury had Captain Marvel's contact information, he wouldn't easily contact her unless it was a truly urgent matter.

Merely relying on a piece of information that might be from the future was likely not enough for Nick Fury to make such a decision.

"It's a shame this mysterious quiz system froze time. Jarvis is unusable, otherwise I could find those people immediately."

Iron Man said with regret.

In a time-frozen state, all equipment was unusable, which was why none of them had attempted to record or take photos from beginning to end.

"Peter, Sam… at least we know two names." Coulson shrugged.

"This Peter has a good relationship with my future self. I don't care about the others, but this Peter, leave him to me!" Iron Man said earnestly to Rhodey and Coulson.

"Suit yourself!" Coulson said noncommittally.

Rhodey also shrugged and didn't say much.

However, Iron Man could tell from their expressions that he had spoken in vain; they would probably start looking for Peter immediately after returning.

After all, that boy was a superhero!

Neither the military nor S.H.I.E.L.D. would let go of him so easily.

But Iron Man was also confident that when it came to finding people, who could compare to him?

The few people present each had their own thoughts and plans.

"This round of questions has ended!"

At this moment, the familiar synthesized electronic voice sounded again.

And with this prompt, the glowing large screen that had been floating in front of them disappeared.

"Mr. Stark!"

"Mr. Stark!"

"Mr. Stark!"

…The previously silent scene became noisy again, and the frozen time returned to normal.

The reporters, who had been frozen, swarmed towards Iron Man again, surrounding him completely.

As the brightest star in this world, Iron Man had experienced such scenes too many times. He skillfully broke free from the reporters and returned to the backstage lounge.

"Tony, what are you doing?" Pepper walked over, looking exasperated. "Why didn't you stick to the script?"

Iron Man's impromptu performance would leave countless messes for Pepper to clean up later, and just thinking about it gave her a headache.

"Sorry, Pepper, I've caused you a lot of trouble."

Iron Man already knew Pepper was his future wife, and his attitude towards her unconsciously carried a hint of tenderness.

This made Pepper freeze for a moment, even wondering if she had misheard; Tony Stark apologizing to someone?

Had the sun risen from the west?

But there was no time to investigate that now; Pepper had no choice but to deal with the reporters with a headache.

"Tony…"

Rhodey and Coulson walked over at this moment, and after greeting Iron Man, they both left in a hurry.

It was clear that it was because of the quiz system.

Iron Man didn't dare to delay either. He immediately returned to his room and clapped his hands: "Jarvis?"

"Sir! Welcome home! And by the way, your press conference was very successful." Jarvis quipped.
