"In an Indian household woman is the central figure, but when she is gone the house feels lifeless."

On Sunday morning, Devansh's mother was admitted to the hospital because of her severe condition. In the hospital there were no rooms available for patients. Most of the patients were lying on stretchers in emergency department. Doctors were coming in every hour, but they were not official doctors, they were students practicing in that hospital. Her condition was becoming worse. The whole family was anxious. In the afternoon, the doctors declared that she is suffering from liver failure and the liver had to be transplanted. They started doing tests. But, she passed away.

At 4 P.M. everyone was informed that she is no more.

The Phone rings. Ansh's mother picks up."What happened? How is she?"

Ansh's father takes a deep breath, with a carcking, heavy voice, says , "We are coming home. You must come too because the kids are alone."

Ansh along with his mother, sister, and grandmother arrives at the house where there was no voice, only silence. The main gate was open, they entered and saw mattresses lying on the floor. They understood and brokedown in tears. Ansh and his sister ran to find them. Devansh's two sisters and his bhabhi with her six- month-old baby boy, were upstairs, crying. Ansh's sister told Ansh to find Devansh and comfort him. Devansh was downstairs in his maasi's room. When he entered in the room, his feets started to shake. He sat beside him and started to comfort him.
