As officers led Dr. Vance out of the room, Walsh returned to the monitoring center where his team was already pulling up records.
"Financial deep dive on Dr. Vance," he ordered. "I want to know every transaction between her and Richard Cross for the past year. Also pull her hospital access logs—everywhere she's been, every patient she's treated, every medication she's dispensed."
"On it," Officer Kim said, fingers flying over her keyboard.
Walsh's phone buzzed with a text from Jacob: "We saw everything. Is it over?"
He typed back: "Not yet. Coming to you now."
Walsh found Jacob and Lily exactly where he'd left them, still holding hands, both looking exhausted but relieved.
"We got her," Walsh confirmed. "Clean arrest, clear evidence, and she's already lawyering up—which tells us she knows she's in trouble."
"What was in the syringe?" Lily asked.
