Chapter 22 - Chapter 22: Tiamat

"It really hurt, even now," said Kalia, rubbing her ass.

After all, he had kept backshoting her for a whole three hours.

Sex felt good, but the soreness was just as bad.

On the other hand, her back problem was completely gone!

With her insides taking the shape of Ragnar's dick now.

She shook her head and resumed looking from hut to hut.

She was searching for any evidence that could help Ragnar.

Walking out of the last hut in her path, she sighed tiredly.

She had spent a lot of time and hadn't found a single clue.

And just then, from afar, she saw Ragnar slowly walking toward the chief's hut.

Before she could shout and call out to him, a deep voice came from inside the hut, and she instinctively stopped.

Her basic survival instinct flared up, screaming at her that whoever was inside that hut was definitely a predator.

Even though it was a female voice, it planted a deep fear inside her.

She turned her gaze toward Ragnar and was surprised.

Not only was he unaffected by it, but he even managed to talk back to the source of the voice.

"Interesting," the voice said, then fell silent.

Soon after, a woman walked out of the hut.

With steady steps, her silhouette came into the light.

She had massive dragon horns on her head, a tall and proud frame, and huge boobs covered in dragon scales.

Her hips were just as full; just by standing there, one could tell she had a massive trunk in the back.

She had pure, milky white skin.

Every step she took made her massive ass and boobs jiggle.

I kept checking her out in a daze, and when she noticed me shamelessly staring at her assets, she rested one hand on her hip and smirked.

"Done checking me out now? Now tell me, what item were you delivering?" she said, trying to honey-trap me with her body.

I ignored my body's reaction and said,

"Ahme, it was the fang of an outcast princess."

Hearing my words, her eyes widened. "A fang? Could it be!"

Before she could explain anything, she rushed at me and blurted,

"Give me the fang, I'm its real owner."

I didn't buy her words. I tightened my grip on the fang even more and shook my head.

"How can I know you aren't just a scammer?"I said while retreating a little.

But her next words made me freeze.

"It's because it's the fang of my dear daughter"

I straightened my back and looked at her again, this time with an unbelieving expression.

"Wait, you mean the outcast princess is your daughter?"

She smiled and patted her chest.

"Yes. She is"

At some point, while we were still chatting, both Aria and Sarah reached us and shouted.

"Ragnar, did you find any leads?" Sarah said as she walked toward me, Aria right beside her.

The woman I was talking with grew impatient.

And using the moment when I got distracted by Sarah.

She leapt forward, trying to snatch the fang from my hand.

Ding!

Sensing an attempt to steal an item, forced storing in the inventory!

My eyes widened, and I jumped back toward Sarah and Aria.

"System, did she just try to pickpocket the fang from me?"

The system replied, "Positive, host."

My face hardened as I looked back at her.

"So everything you said was a lie?"

She only smiled evilly before leaping again at me, this time with her claws.

Seeing that she chose to fight instead of explaining, I tensed my legs and rushed at her.

The ground cracked under my feet as I bolted toward her like a missile.

With graceful steps, she sidestepped me.

Then her hands reached for my torso at an astonishing speed.

But before the hit could land, Bella saved the day and tanked the blow for me.

A strong current of wind formed from landing the punch, but Bella didn't flinch at all.

The woman's eyes widened as she looked at Bella.

"You… Why is someone like you here?"

Then she glanced back and forth between me and Bella.

"A ridiculously strong kobold and a weird bunny?

This day was getting more interesting by the minute."

Then a massive shadow blocked the sky.

All of us lifted our heads in bewilderment.

Only the woman looked up with a smile.

"Looks like the help finally came~" she said.

The shadow stopped, and we could finally get a good look at it.

It was a massive jet-black dragon with crown-like horns.

The woman erupted into laughter, as if our defeat was guaranteed the moment the dragon showed up.

"Hahahaha, looks like my 'daughter' is finally here.

Now you're going to regret the day you were ever born."

My heart hammered in my chest as I whispered to Bella beside me.

"How do you think our odds are?"

Bella glared at the dragon and said, "It'll be tough, but we can pull it off."

The woman tensed her legs and jumped onto the dragon's back.

She rubbed its scales and said, "Thanks for catching up with me, Lila."

But we didn't expect what she said next.

"I will not fight, mostly because I don't see a point in it.

I already know the fang's location, and I will take it from you after I prepare."

"By the way, my name is Tiamat, and my daughter's name is Lila.

And we live on the highest peak. I would be glad to welcome you as our guest,"

She said, before mounting the dragon properly as they took off.

Then she vanished, her figure slowly shrinking into a small black dot as she flew away.

I turned toward the girls, and each of them wore a different expression.

Bella was the most shocked. Noticing my gaze, she hurriedly explained.

"I've met that dragon before, in a place called the Demon's Rift.

It was a special rift where monsters killed each other to evolve.

She was sleeping there the whole time.

Honestly, I thought she was just a mountain.

But one day she suddenly woke up and flew away.

It caused a huge commotion," Bella finished explaining.

I muttered to myself, "That woman called herself Tiamat, and her daughter is Lila… and they live on the highest peak?"

"What does she mean by that?" I asked, looking back at Bella.

Bella's eyes widened in realization, and she murmured, "Could she mean that place?"

I raised an eyebrow at her.

She continued, "The 'highest peak' is slang we evolved monsters use to describe a place where we fight and evolve.

And from her words, I think they live in the Demon's Rift."
