Chapter 61 - Chapter 61: The Bath in Swan Lake

After eating his fill, Rowan looked at the blazing sun outside; it was indeed a good time to go out for a walk to digest his food.

He remembered the thing he had been refraining from doing, and his heart stirred again.

"Let's go to Swan Lake for a trip. Bring the stone digging tools," Rowan said to Owen, who was clearing away the leftover food.

Owen obeyed immediately, not asking why Rowan wanted to bring tools. After cleaning up the leftovers in the cave, he took Rowan and set off.

Swan Lake was considered the place with the most wild beasts passing through in the Lost Forest. When Owen flew down, the other animals coming to drink water scattered in fear; some ran, some flew, and some burrowed into their holes.

Rowan jumped down from Owen, walked towards the lake shore, and surveyed the terrain once.

He pointed to a relatively flat and soft patch of ground and told Owen to start digging: "Dig a bit deep, then make it wider."
