Chapter 5 - The Frieza Legion

Yoshi had made his decision. Frieza… will die.

Withdrawing his gaze from the battlefield, he looked at Whis.

Whis, in turn, studied Yoshi with a puzzled expression. There was something… different about him now.

"Why are you staring at me like that?" Yoshi asked, slightly amused. "Do I have something on my face?"

"It's not… you," Whis said slowly, frowning. The feeling Yoshi exuded was strange—indescribable. "Something has… changed."

"Changed?" Yoshi feigned ignorance.

Whis shook his head. "Forget it."

"By the way, are you planning to follow me everywhere?" Yoshi glanced at him.

"Ahem… as your Angel, it is my duty to remain by the Lord God of Destruction's side at all times," Whis replied, slightly embarrassed. "As your attendant, I should always accompany you."

Yoshi smirked, curling his lips in mild irritation. "Qi… really in the way."

Whis froze. What?! In the way?!This was the first time he'd heard an Angel considered a burden. Surely Yoshi didn't understand the utility of an Angel's powers.

Yoshi wasn't complaining about Whis personally—he just knew that when he eventually met Vados, Marcarita, and Kusu in the future, having multiple Angels around would be… inconvenient, even a little conspicuous.

Just as he sighed, Whis suddenly moved.

"Sneak attack!"

Whis launched a punch at Yoshi.

Brush!

Yoshi's body moved instinctively, tilting his head to evade the blow.

In the next moment, Yoshi transformed into Super Five, glaring at Whis.

"Whis! What do you mean by that?!"

Facing Whis, Yoshi wasn't taking any chances. He went all out—Super Five blazing.

"Oh ho ho ho, Lord God of Destruction, please don't take it personally!" Whis quickly covered his mouth, laughing. "It's just a misunderstanding! I wanted to see how cautious you are. From now on… you truly are cautious!"

Yoshi's tension eased. Ah, it's just a test of my Ultra Instinct.

Whis, meanwhile, was flabbergasted. This God of Destruction… how?

Based on previous observations, Yoshi should not have mastered Ultra Instinct at all. Yet now… he had, and with terrifying proficiency.

And that white-haired transformation—Super Five—was almost comparable to Whis himself.

A human matching an Angel in power? Too exaggerated!

Whis took several deep breaths, trying to calm his shock. Yet he couldn't stop stealing glances at Yoshi.

This was a God of Destruction worthy of genuine respect. Unlike others, Yoshi commanded reverence from Whis, not just surface-level obedience.

"Alright, let's get to business," Yoshi said, waving his hand toward Whis' scepter. "Where's the Frieza Legion?"

"Yes, Lord God of Destruction." Whis retrieved his scepter and assumed his role as Angel.

"Found them—Frieza Legion."

His expression brightened, though he muttered to himself, Who is this Frieza…?

Then it clicked. "Ah, right! Childe… no, Frieza! Descendant of Childe! The universe pirate who shaped the empire!"

Truly impressive, Whis thought.

"Master Yoshi, what do you intend to do with the Frieza Legion?" Whis asked cautiously.

"Kill them," Yoshi said calmly.

Whis blinked. "Ahem… while you are the God of Destruction, your methods… are extreme. Why exterminate them all?"

"No, Master Yoshi!" Whis coughed. "I've observed for millennia. Thanks to Childe—err, the Frieza family—they've maintained destruction across the universe, balancing it. Without them, chaos would have consumed our universe ages ago!"

"So…" Whis hesitated.

"You mean… killing them is like killing a necessary force?" Yoshi asked, raising an eyebrow.

Whis sighed. Something like that…

"Regardless, they worked hard without recognition. But that's hardly a reason to spare them, right?" Yoshi patted Whis on the shoulder. "Don't worry. With me, the universe will only grow stronger."

Whis shook his head helplessly. If Yoshi, the God of Destruction, made this decision, the Angel could only advise—not interfere.

"Let's go. Take me there," Yoshi said, signaling Whis.

"Understood." Whis raised his scepter and waved it casually.

Swish!

Flames of energy enveloped them, and they streaked across the cosmos toward the Frieza Legion.

Meanwhile, aboard the Frieza Legion's flagship:

Frieza gazed at the tactical screen. Vegeta, Nappa, and Raditz were locked in battle, planets exploding around them.

"Oh ho ho ho," Frieza chuckled. "Fight hard! Flatten more planets for me!"
