Synopsis
In the distant year of 2062, creativity is seen as just an afterthought. The city of Silicon Hills is a rather dull and boring. It’s a place where postmodern minimalism dominates the very products we use, generic slop fills our airwaves, and the architecture is the same basic slick and smooth model. A girl called Splat and her ragtag band of rebels, the Leaping Narwhals resist this bland way of life and fight back to return their city to a more colorful state. One day while running from the security of the cruel and uninspired Mayor Goldmore, our heroes encounter a unique alien they decide to call Niji, who will soon become their secret weapon to tip the scales in their favor.

Chapter 1 - Introduction

Hello now before you start reading, I just want to say a few things.

The following story is a semi-dystopian tale involving a nearly basic and dull city. Even though this city has technology like animal esque cybernetic enhancements, jetpacks, and a whole gallery of sci-fi gadgets and tropes, the area all those unique wonders take place in as well as those technological advances of amazement themselves are mostly plain.

Why make a story involving a boring sounding city like that? Well it's because I'm afraid that there's a chance a certain horrific future has a possibility to become reality.

This potential future I dread is not one where robots take over our everyday jobs or the government manipulating information for their own greedy personal gain. The future I never wish to see come to fruition is one where creativity is never appreciated, a tomorrow where people would rather take the basic and easy route when designing things like buildings, product logos, fashion, music, television, and many more of our artistic media , where pure creative wonder is just a thing of the past, where children would consume this flavorless life and not be allowed to have fun the way kids should.

I believe our imagination and creative drive is one of the backbones of our everyday lives. It's the reason we're able to light our rooms, eat many different tasty varieties of food, watch all kinds of entertainment from around the world without even leaving the comfort of your own home.

It inspires us to make something of ourselves, to strive to become greater than the people we were before, make our wildest and most out of our world dreams come true!

Creativity gives all of us hope that we can make a difference and help make the world a better and more interesting place to live in.

And the idea of it going the way of the dinosaurs is something I can't stand to watch. I want to make sure this potential reality will never rear it's ugly grey head into reality. I needed to find a way to address this very issue.

So this is why I'm making this story, to express why creativity and art is important to our society.

So sit back and relax as I tell you the tale about a dull futuristic city and a group of rebels trying to make it a more colorful place to live.
