Dante didn't respond to Celina's accusation. Then again, it wasn't really an accusation when it was the truth.
He returned to his seat and resumed flipping through the documents on his desk as if nothing had been said.
Celina stepped closer, fury radiating off her.
"Do you even understand what you're doing?" she demanded.
Dante ignored her.
"You call yourself Alpha, yet you act nothing like one," she continued. "I've never seen Father behave this way. He was a good example, and you… you…"
"A good example?" Dante scoffed. He looked up at her, an unamused smile curving his lips. "If he was such a model Alpha, how exactly did he end up with you?"
His eyes turned glacial. "He slept with your whorish mother and produced you."
"My mother is not a whore!" Celina shouted.
"Of course she isn't," Dante replied flatly. "Whatever helps you sleep at night."
"Brother or not, Alpha or not, you are a jerk—"
