Although it was just a matter of picking a name, it really depended on who was being named.

Naming an ordinary person and naming an Aeon were two entirely different concepts.

However, Herta and the original Ruan Mei exchanged a glance. They weren't humble, nor did they deny their contributions to this project. But this dream—a vision so grand it bordered on naive—had been initiated by Baiming.

Furthermore, the most crucial element—the brand-new Path power—had been crafted by Baiming after she entered "the zone." Herta was far too narcissistic to claim credit for something that wasn't her own achievement.

"Ultimately, Baiming, you started this project, and you achieved the most critical step. You name Him."

"Mhm. I agree with Herta. You should be the one to choose His name."

"You two aren't excited at all?" 'Ruan Mei' hadn't expected them to be disinterested in naming Him. This was naming an Aeon. Shouldn't there be some excitement? Or was she just too easily moved?

Still in her Giant of Light form, 'Ruan Mei' scratched her hard, metallic head and thought for a moment.

"How about... Noah?"

Although her current form was Nexus, and theoretically, Noah should be her evolved form, 'Ruan Mei' had a fair amount of self-awareness. She was an ordinary person; if she were dropped into a serious Ultraman Nexus series, she probably wouldn't even qualify as a Deena (Dunanist).

The title Noah—filled with special significance as the "Legendary Giant of Light who protects the universe"—suited the newborn entity far better than it suited her.

"Noah? Is there a special meaning?" Herta repeated the two syllables, looking at 'Ruan Mei' curiously.

"In my hometown, there is a myth and legend called Noah's Ark. When the Great Flood destroyed the world, a giant ark carried the seeds of all life, drifting through the waters to evade the world-ending deluge."

The original Ruan Mei tilted her head, thinking, then said with a smile: "...That sounds a bit like what Fuli is trying to do."

"The feeling is quite different; the significance of Noah's Ark is distinct from Remembrance," Herta offered her opinion, then rubbed her chin. "Though, who knows? Perhaps He really will become the Ark of Salvation when Finality arrives."

Ruan Mei nodded with a smile. She didn't have much interest in the naming process itself; the individual Baiming was far more intriguing to her.

Seeing that neither of them had any objections, 'Ruan Mei' pouted slightly. Name, identity—they all fit well. It also carried the meaning of protecting the universe.

Thus, she turned toward the crystal sphere hanging in Herta City. She contacted His consciousness through the Path, transmitting the name 'Noah' along with its meaning and story.

She wasn't sure if He would accept it. But to her surprise, only a moment later, every Giant of Light received a voice from Him.

Noah.

The name was broadcast into the mind of every Giant of Light. Even Herta and Ruan Mei, who weren't Giants, perceived the title because of their proximity.

Herta looked up and let out a laugh: "This kid is quite cute, accepting the name so quickly."

Ruan Mei pursed her lips and smiled. She also thought He was quite endearing. Perhaps because He wasn't yet a complete Aeon, He possessed a bit more of the radiance of humanity. A very interesting individual.

Unfortunately, they had tested the Amber Lord's crystal wall. It was even sturdier than the sub-space barriers that separated different worlds. Likely, only an Aeon acting personally could crack it open. For now, Ruan Mei and Herta were helpless against the crystal; they could only observe Noah from the outside.

"Speaking of which, besides us, the only one who clearly achieved the feat of man-made Aeon was Zandar, right?" Herta suddenly mentioned the name of the Genius Society's First Seat.

Herta felt a bit disgruntled about not being the first. But the thought that the Aeon they created was such a grand feat that it attracted multiple Aeons to a "meeting" made her proud. It was much more impressive than the "mechanical head" (Nous).

"I wonder how Zandar and Nous communicated. I'm quite curious." But she immediately dismissed the thought. "Well, Nous isn't like Noah. An Aeon who ascended immediately and skipped the 'larva' stage probably can't communicate with us like Noah does."

'Ruan Mei' felt it was absurd to hear Herta's casual musing. Compared to Zandar, Noah's birth left the three of them feeling excited and curious, filled with a desire for knowledge. It wasn't at all like Zandar's despair when facing Nous.

If Herta knew that Zandar wasn't happy at all—that he had actually broken down because of Nous, hidden away to frantically run code, and cast himself into Destruction—she would likely have some very complex feelings.

Hundreds of years from now, when the Astral Express enters Amphoreus, Herta—now endowed with the achievement of creating an Aeon—would probably have a lot of biting things to say about Zandar. It was something to look forward to.

After His initial excitement, Noah quieted down. He continued to follow the Path to see what His new children were doing, occasionally splashing droplets of power on the Giants He took a liking to. It wasn't a boring existence at all.

Meanwhile, after the initial inspection, 'Ruan Mei' exited her transformation. She could clearly feel a portion of light remaining outside her soul... as if it were trying to fuse with her. It felt like it would be a long process.

'Ruan Mei' placed the Evoltruster on a platform and turned to the screen in front of Herta. "Did you two analyze anything?"

"A little, but not much. Your soul really is like the souls in those storybooks, rather than the non-corporeal lifeforms or memes we currently recognize," Herta noted with interest. Baiming herself possessed quite a few secrets.

Beside her, Ruan Mei's gaze was more direct—a look that said she wanted to consume her entirely.

"A brand-new lifeform never seen before, an existence independent of existing biology. Currently, we don't have any suitable equipment to detect you. Perhaps this is why you said your soul never matches your body," Ruan Mei concluded.

A new species, no suitable detection equipment. All data could only be inferred through indirect observation. Therefore, it was understandable that an "incompatible" state would occur with a body born in this world. To create a body that matches Baiming, they first had to decipher what Baiming actually was. Only then could they specifically craft a physical shell for her.

The Evoltruster, now bound to Baiming, was currently the only thing that could intuitively reflect her existence.

Herta adjusted the equipment while comparing the initial data. "However, the data changes aren't very obvious yet. The fit isn't high enough; to put it bluntly, it isn't 'your shape' yet. Furthermore, I can't guarantee this light will truly merge perfectly with you in the end. My suggestion: keep letting us study you."

After seeing the data, 'Ruan Mei' understood. The subtle changes weren't enough to guarantee a perfect fit in the future. Proactively letting them study her was indeed the more reliable route.

Ruan Mei picked up the Evoltruster, placed it in Baiming's hand, and stared at her with burning eyes:

"I hope you can come to my place. It would make it easier for me to monitor your status at any time."

"..."

If the 'desire' in Ruan Mei's eyes had been just a little more restrained, she might have been charmed by that face into nodding her agreement.
