'Ruan Mei' looked at the original Ruan Mei, who seemed ready to consume her entirely. Hmm, she had the distinct illusion that she was about to be locked in a basement.

Good news: these two hadn't started poking her or performing any truly evil experiments yet.

Bad news: they had no intention of letting her go.

It felt very much like they were planning to boil a frog in lukewarm water. And she was the frog.

Just then, a Herta puppet walked over. She addressed Madam Herta:

"Madam Herta, the Interastral Peace Corporation has just released an emergency news broadcast."

"What does IPC news have to do with me?" Herta looked at the puppet in confusion. According to the puppet's logic, this kind of emergency news wouldn't usually be brought to her attention.

Thus, Herta opened the news broadcast.

And then... the first image that met her eyes was a Giant of Light floating in the cosmos, body radiating a blinding brilliance. The image captured the moment the Giant fired a beam, obliterating an entire Swarm-infested planet in one breath.

"Interastral Peace Corporation Emergency Broadcast: The Corporation has confirmed a large-scale phenomenon of lifeform evolution across the universe. Furthermore, these evolved individuals exhibit an extremely high degree of similarity. Currently, no organization or individual has claimed responsibility for this event..."

The broadcast switched rapidly through various scenes. There were those clashing with the Corporation, others fighting local fleets, some battling the Swarm, and others taking on the Antimatter Legion...

Although their forms varied slightly, they exhibited nearly identical combat methods and traits. Even without proof, it was obvious that these Giants scattered across different corners of the galaxy shared some unknown connection.

Within such a short span of time, the IPC had noticed this abnormal phenomenon and had even released a dedicated emergency broadcast. This alone showed how exaggerated the Interastral Peace Corporation's control over the entire universe truly was.

Sometimes 'Ruan Mei' found it strange. The IPC set the rules of the universe, issued a unified currency, and possessed specialized regulatory and military departments for handling interstellar conflicts. They also had resources that even geniuses found abundant.

Generally, in a civilization, an organization like this would be called a "Government." However, it claimed to be merely a company working hard at business to mine and deliver materials for the Amber Lord. It was quite farcical, honestly.

And even more abstractly, once 'Ruan Mei' had truly learned about the various lunatics and civilizations in this world, she actually began to find the IPC quite "human."

'Ruan Mei' listened carefully to the entire news broadcast. It placed special emphasis on the Tarrak Federation, calling it a disaster zone.

In other civilizations, the appearance of Giants of Light was usually counted in single digits—one or two, at most a dozen. But the Tarrak Federation was different.

Based solely on the preliminary statistics of the first day, the number of Giants of Light born within the Tarrak Federation had already exceeded one hundred thousand. And even during the broadcast, new Giants of Light were constantly appearing. The personnel in the IPC's statistical department were utterly overwhelmed.

Brother, you're truly my elder brother.

After preliminary contact, the Corporation's people had roughly grasped the characteristics of these Giants of Light and their powerful individual combat capabilities. One or two, or even ten or twenty thousand of such beings would be manageable as long as they didn't gather together. But if they formed a scale, with millions or tens of millions of Giants gathering to establish a civilization of their own, the Corporation would lose sleep.

Originally, the IPC thought that while these Giants had high similarity, they were born in different civilizations and were far apart. Gathering them all wouldn't be easy.

And yet!! Your place can squeeze out over a hundred thousand in a single night... Tarrak Federation, you're truly a living ancestor.

Although these Giants of Light hadn't displayed that kind of Harmony capability yet, ugh... with the Galaxy Rangers as a precedent, if these Giants weren't a natural occurrence but an artificial design by some individual or organization, the other party certainly wouldn't give up on the Harmony capability.

Thinking about it from another perspective, if the Corporation could create such beings, they would absolutely never abandon the Harmony capability. Thus, the Corporation had to consider this possibility. Especially recently, they heard that a massive number of Pathstriders of Harmony had suddenly appeared among the Galaxy Rangers, and they had even proactively contacted the Family of Harmony to "exchange and learn."

The Corporation wanted to curse when they heard that. You're just a bunch of brawlers who fight every day, what the hell are you 'learning'?

Therefore, they had to be on guard. If hundreds of thousands, or even millions or tens of millions of Giants of Light gathered and replicated the scene of the Galaxy Rangers using Harmony last time—according to Taravan Keane's estimation—putting him out there wouldn't even be enough to withstand a single slap.

The Corporation's Board even felt that, by then, the aggregated power would likely rival or even surpass the might of those "genius-level wondrous gadgets" in the Corporation's collection.

Thus, to prevent such a future that would keep the Corporation awake at night, Diamond, the head of the Strategic Investment Department, personally took action. He urgently mobilized the Corporation's Interastral Peace Guard Fleet. Pulling together a force from various sources, he led a total of over a million interstellar warships toward the Tarrak Federation.

His intention was to forcefully inject "peace and justice" into the stagnant, rotten waters of the Tarrak Federation to prevent these "living ancestors" from spawning any more Giants.

...

'Ruan Mei', having followed the current situation with interest, was genuinely amused. But it also reflected how much importance the people of this universe placed on the appearance of Giants of Light in large numbers.

"It seems the Tarrak Federation is truly unique..."

'Ruan Mei' hadn't expected the IPC to personally call out the Tarrak Federation. And while other places were spawning Giants in single digits, Tarrak had spawned a six-figure number in one go! The level of absurdity was slightly beyond her imagination.

"Heh, the Tarrak Federation is considered a major power. It has a territory spanning eight star sectors; do you know how large that is?" Herta scoffed, looking at 'Ruan Mei'. She knew Baiming didn't have much of a grasp on universal common sense, so she didn't mind providing some simple science.

"How large?"

"A star sector is divided into a massive number of star clusters, which are then further divided into a massive number of star systems. Although different powers have different classification standards, the smallest star sector is at least a galaxy tens of thousands of light-years across."

"With eight star sectors, only a six-figure number of Giants of Light were born. I actually think it's too few; at least an eight-figure number would be normal."

'Ruan Mei' twitched her lips at Herta's explanation. In her past life, a single Milky Way had billions of stars; one could only imagine how many habitable planets would be terraformed under a civilization's control.

But the problem was the conditions for the birth of a Giant of Light. If an eight-figure number of Giants were born overnight, just how hellish would that place have to be? Even with the current number, she found it terrifying enough.

No wonder the Interastral Peace Corporation rushed there in such a panic. If they were left to their own devices, the Land of Light could practically declare its establishment right then and there.
