"Of course not. You matter so much to me too." I rushed over to comfort Aiden, my tone soft and soothing.
In seconds, both my parents were beaming again, their earlier severity dissolving completely.
"Look at yourself," Aiden said, though his words carried deep fondness. "Now that you've chosen to divorce that scoundrel, come back home. Do you honestly believe our family's legal team can't manage a straightforward divorce?"
I saw my father's fury surge at the thought of my pain in the Gould household. His expression made it clear he was dying to give Reed a piece of his mind for daring to mistreat his daughter.
His furious stare then shifted to Kolton, who remained silently to the side.
"And you!" he snapped, jabbing his finger forward. "You discovered your sister but helped her stay hidden, allowing her to endure all this pain? You need a proper thrashing!"
He lifted his hand, but Kolton ducked swiftly.
