I yanked his collar, pulling him down hard and bringing his face inches from mine, fully intending to demolish his work-of-art features right then and there.
He didn't flinch. Instead, he blinked, a genuinely baffled expression crossing his pristine features.
"Huh...? Why? Did I execute the gesture incorrectly?"
"Oh, you did it perfectly, Mr. Goldie," I growled, my grip tightening on his expensive uniform.
"Oh... then it must be because of them," he murmured, his gaze shifting slightly.
"That is true. I only formally addressed my apology to the Princess and failed to extend the same courtesy to you and your companions. My deepest apologies."
I slowly let go of his collar, confused about where he was actually going with this.
True to his word, he adjusted his gold-trimmed coat and bowed his head directly to me.
Though his head was still held considerably higher than it had been when he bowed to Solaris, it was a legitimate, formal bow nonetheless.
