The twin blades once wielded by Kozuki Oden, Ame no Habakiri and Enma, were legendary.
With them, Oden had unleashed the technique Togen Totsuka — leaving Kaido with a scar that even now refused to fade.
That scar was still the only wound on the so-called "Strongest Creature in the World."
It was proof enough of those swords' extraordinary might.
Oden had left Ame no Habakiri to his son, Momonosuke, and Enma to his daughter, Hiyori.
In the original chronicles, Hiyori had passed Enma to the swordsman Zoro, who traded his Shusui — a national treasure of Wano — in exchange. After obtaining Enma, Zoro was able to wound Kaido himself.
Enma truly lived up to its name as a blade said to "cut through the underworld."
It drew in Haki of its own will — the more it consumed, the greater its destructive power.
Though already counted among the 21 Great Grade Blades, Enma had yet to turn black. Once it did, it would likely ascend into the rank of the Supreme Grade, alongside Whitebeard's Murakumogiri, Mihawk's Yoru, and Roger's Ace.
Luo Xing sheathed the sword with deliberate calm and turned to Hiyori.
"It seems this blade isn't quite as uncontrollable as people say."
Hiyori stood silently, still shaken.
She had just witnessed this man unleash Conqueror's Haki and force even Enma to submit.
From that moment, she realized — escaping from him might truly be impossible.
Luo Xing's expression softened as he stepped closer, but Hiyori flinched like a cornered fawn.
"Stay back… don't come any closer."
Luo Xing's tone was gentle, his smile faint.
"Relax. I only wished to see the spirit of Kozuki Oden's daughter with my own eyes."
Tears welled in hers — a mix of fear, frustration, and disbelief.
He sighed quietly, understanding now. His harshness before had left a scar deeper than he intended.
That must have been why she'd tried to stab him earlier.
"You've grown strong," he said softly, "but don't waste your hatred on the wrong people. I'm not your enemy anymore."
Leaving those words behind, Luo Xing turned and stepped out into the cool evening air.
Back at Onigashima
The once-celebratory fortress was now filled with shouting and alarm.
Luo Xing stopped one of the Beast Pirates by the arm.
"What happened while I was gone?"
The soldier dropped to one knee in panic.
"M-my lord, it's Lord Jack—he's back!"
Luo Xing frowned.
Jack had gone out to "earn" money for the crew.
If there was commotion now, it couldn't be good.
"What's wrong with him?"
"He… he was dragged back by two sharks, sir. He's alive, but gravely injured—his lungs are destroyed!"
Luo Xing's eyes narrowed.
Only a true monster could have done that.
"Who was it?"
"They say it was Admiral Akainu, sir! The Navy sent him to protect the Heavenly Tribute!"
Sakazuki… the Red Dog.
That explained it. Lava that burned through steel would certainly destroy lungs beyond repair.
Among the Admirals, their strength was nearly equal — but Sakazuki's sheer offensive power made him the deadliest. His Magma-Magma Fruit was often said to rival the Tremor-Tremor Fruit for destructive force.
Luo Xing released the terrified pirate and strode toward Kaido's palace.
Inside, the tension was thick.
Kaido sat on his throne, rage smoldering like storm clouds.
Around him stood King, Queen, and the Flying Six.
On the floor lay Jack, covered in bandages, breathing through a makeshift mask.
Queen wiped sweat from his forehead while working his tools.
"The poor fool ran into Akainu himself. His lungs were completely melted. Unless we replace them with mechanical ones, he'll never recover."
Queen's talents in both bioengineering and mechanics were unmatched — his own body was proof of it.
Kaido slammed a massive fist into the ground, splitting the stone beneath.
"Damn the Navy! Jack's one of my All-Stars!"
Even if Jack survived, he'd never be the same. His strength would be permanently diminished.
For a captain who valued loyalty above all, Kaido's fury was understandable.
Luo Xing stepped forward calmly.
"Father-in-law, don't be angry. I can restore Jack's lungs."
Kaido blinked, surprise overtaking his anger.
"You can? But his lungs were vaporized by magma. Not even Queen could fix that—and you're no doctor."
Queen nodded.
"With respect, Lord Consort, that kind of damage is irreversible. The only solution is full mechanical replacement."
King and the others agreed silently.
Even the ever-loyal Flying Six seemed doubtful.
After all, no one could truly create something from nothing.
Luo Xing smiled faintly.
"That may be true for you… but not for me."
He raised a hand, eyes gleaming with quiet confidence.
"Creating something from nothing isn't hard—" he said softly, "—as long as you have a Senzu Bean."
