Chapter 16 - Chapter 17

Natasha and Coulson deeply regretted it!

They really shouldn't have gone to drink Lu Yi's coffee.

Of course, that didn't mean Lu Yi's coffee tasted bad.

Aside from the mediocre quality, his brewing time and technique were actually quite decent.

It was just that Lu Yi's method of brewing coffee was far too exaggerated—it instantly caused even greater damage to their already-shaken worldview.

While other people make coffee with their hands, Lu Yi did something completely different.

He used magic.

During the entire process, none of them lifted a finger. The coffee brewed itself, flowed into their cups automatically, and then they simply added milk and sugar according to their preferences.

The scene was fantastical, but it also brutally challenged their worldview. They felt as though their grasp on reality was on the verge of collapse.

After downing two cups of coffee, they hurriedly ran off.

They were afraid that if they stayed any longer, their worldview would completely shatter.

After Natasha and Coulson left, Lu Yi used magic to have the cups wash themselves clean, then turned his attention to the hard drives and the piles of adamantium ore.

The adamantium ore in particular shocked Lu Yi.

Once adamantium is refined and cooled, it becomes indestructible. Nick Fury had not given him refined adamantium, but raw ore. It takes about a ton of ore to refine adamantium.

That wasn't the real issue—what mattered was that Lu Yi didn't have the proper equipment. It's easy for impurities to mix in during refinement, affecting the quality of the final adamantium.

Even with magic, it would require a lot of effort.

"Forget it. We don't need adamantium for now. Let's set it aside. I'll check what's on these hard drives first—that's what really matters!"

Lu Yi made a grasping motion, and a black hard drive flew into his hand.

He connected the drive to the laptop on the table and opened its contents.

Now, it was time to demonstrate his true power.

Lu Yi took a deep breath, flexed his hands, placed one on the keyboard, the other on the mouse.

Suddenly, his expression became serious. His mouse hand began clicking at insane speed—as if having spasms—and his pupils started shifting up and down rapidly.

As time went on, both the clicking and mouse movements grew faster and faster. Within seconds, his hand became a blur—like several hands clicking at once.

The formulas, graphics, and text originally visible on the computer screen flashed by so quickly they became a blur.

Even the page numbers at the bottom of the screen became indistinguishable, rapidly increasing in count. Within just seconds, the page numbers had already climbed into the hundreds.

There was a huge amount of data on the hard drive, but Lu Yi's browsing speed was too fast. It took him just over an hour to go through the entire drive.

He was moving so fast that it didn't even feel like reading—just rapid flipping.

"Ah!"

Lu Yi exhaled, unplugged the hard drive from the laptop, and held it in his hand.

"Break!"

With a soft sound, the hard drive was crushed into powder, sifting through his fingers and scattering over the clean table—almost impossible to recover. There was no need to keep it; destroying it was the best way to ensure it wouldn't be tracked.

After disposing of the first hard drive, Lu Yi didn't immediately continue. Instead, he reached out and summoned several pieces of plastic and metal he had prepared earlier. He then skillfully began preprocessing them.

The hard metal in his hands behaved like clay, which he kneaded into different shapes—some even embedded with a few plastic strips.

When the preprocessing was done, he didn't stop there. He began the second phase.

Using his memory, he pointed at the pre-treated materials and began reshaping them with transmutation magic.

Compared to preprocessing, this second phase was much more precise.

Under Lu Yi's magic, the metal and plastic underwent a stunning transformation, dramatically changing into refined components that existed only in his mind.

These components, both in size and form, didn't look handmade—they appeared like products of advanced industrial manufacturing.

Lu Yi examined each of the parts carefully. After confirming they were perfect, he began assembling them according to the blueprint in his mind.

These parts were designed to form a single device, so the assembly went smoothly.

Because he knew the blueprint so well, the assembly didn't take long. Soon, a gun-shaped device appeared before him.

Seeing it complete, Lu Yi nodded in satisfaction. He picked up a charger-like component from the side, plugged it into the device, connected it to a power socket, and then lifted the gun, aiming its muzzle at a ceramic cup.

He pulled the trigger.

Buzz! Buzz! Buzz…

Like countless bees buzzing, the ceramic cup instantly shattered, and the remaining coffee spilled out, splashing all over the table.

"The sonic gun works wonderfully. The fusion of magic and technology is amazing. Now, I just need to find an alternative energy source."
