Chapter 7 - Boothill — Scaramouche, You Idiot, I Love You to Death!

"Steluna, look! They're inviting us so enthusiastically!"

"Seems like our crew is pretty popular!"

March 7th said cheerfully as she read the stream of invitations from Zhongli and the others.

"Mm. The Astral Express belongs to the Path of Trailblaze — it connects worlds."

"They probably want to step beyond their homeland and see the wider universe too."

Steluna could easily guess the reason behind Teyvat's sudden enthusiasm.

More than anything, they wanted the Express to link their world to the Star Rail.

"Helping them connect to the Star Rail isn't a problem in itself,"

"But without Teyvat's coordinates, we're powerless for now."

Welt shook his head, sounding slightly resigned.

The Astral Express did this sort of thing for a living — pioneering routes, connecting civilizations.

But to do so, they first needed to know where Teyvat actually was.

Searching blindly through the infinite star sea for an unknown world

was no different from trying to find a single grain of sand in an ocean.

By the time the commentators in the live room died of old age, they still might not find it.

March 7th:

"Um… while we'd love to help Teyvat connect to the Star Rail, the problem is we don't have your world's coordinates."

"Do any of you happen to know them?"

The question was tossed back to Teyvat.

"Teyvat's coordinates…"

Venti fell into thought.

"Honestly, only the Heavenly Principles might know that."

Teyvat itself existed under the control of the divine order.

If anyone possessed its true position in the cosmos, it would be them.

But would the Heavenly Principles ever share it?

That question hardly needed answering.

"Coordinates, huh…" Zhongli frowned.

"This is indeed troublesome."

Nahida:

"We have never left our world."

"So naturally, we do not know where Teyvat lies in the vast sea of stars."

After exhausting every possibility, all she could offer was regret.

Himeko:

"So we've reached a dead end?"

"A blind search could take hundreds of years and still fail."

Dan Heng:

"It may not be that hopeless."

"The universe holds many mysterious methods. Perhaps something could detect Teyvat's location."

Dan Heng:

"However…"

Zhongli:

"However, no one would deploy such costly techniques for something so trivial, would they?"

Dan Heng fell silent — Zhongli had voiced exactly what he'd meant.

Dan Heng:

"Cruel as it sounds… that is the truth."

Zhongli:

"No matter. We shouldn't trouble you all without reason."

"We shall handle the matter of the coordinates ourselves."

"If we succeed, then perhaps we are destined to meet the stars."

"If not… then it simply means we have no fate with the cosmos."

At Wangsheng Funeral Parlor, Zhongli let out a quiet sigh, choosing to shoulder the burden himself.

Welt:

"During our future travels, the Astral Express will also attempt to search for Teyvat whenever possible."

His message appeared as a solemn promise.

Zhongli:

"Then I thank the Astral Express on behalf of Teyvat. We will remember your kindness."

Venti:

"Thank you!!"

Furina:

"Thank you!! +1"

Raiden Ei:

"Thank you!! +2"

Nahida:

"Thank you!! +3"

...

Gratitude flooded the screen.

All except one voice.

Scaramouche:

"Who asked for your help?"

"Stop being so self-important."

"Even without you, I'll find my own way out of Teyvat."

As expected — arrogant to the core.

Lumine:

"Please don't take his words as representative of us."

"He does not speak for Teyvat."

Paimon:

"Yeah! His brain's just broken — he talks like that all the time!"

Boothill:

"Totally get it. Every planet's got a few idiots like that."

"Just hope I never run into this moron."

"'Cause if I do, I swear I'll love him to death!"

March 7th:

"L-Love him to death?!"

"Ewww~"

Steluna:

"Damn, that's wild."

"When you do, can you livestream it? I kinda wanna see."

Venti:

"Count me in!"

Sparkle:

"+1"

Sampo:

"+2"

Hook:

"+—"

Seele:

"Hook, stop! Kids can't watch stuff like that!"

"L-Love me to death?!"

"Aaaaah!!!"

"Enough! Enough!!"

"This humiliation will cost you dearly, Boothill!"

Within the mech of the God-Construction Facility in Sumeru, Scaramouche trembled with rage, nearly tearing apart his controls.

If Boothill had insulted him directly, fine.

Scaramouche prided himself on never losing a verbal duel.

But this twisted, mocking flirtation?

It was downright unbearable.

Elsewhere…

"Ah… seems everyone misunderstood me," Boothill muttered.

"Is this bad for my dashing image?"

He pondered for a moment, then shrugged.

"Eh, whatever. I've been misunderstood plenty of times before."

"I ain't living off my looks anyway. Who cares?"

Belobog

"Bronya, don't you think the people in this live room are way too unfiltered?"

"Shouldn't we block children from watching this?"

Seele looked genuinely concerned after seeing Hook join the conversation.

"I'd love to," Bronya sighed,

"But this live room appears directly before us. There's no way to block it."

"Then gather all the children in Belobog who entered the livestream!"

"We'll supervise them in person!"

Seele's eyes lit up with determination.

"A good idea. Leave it to you."

"Once you find them, bring them here. We'll keep an eye on them together."

Bronya nodded, approving the plan.
