Chapter 2 - A Big Problem

One Week Earlier

Dominic groaned, rubbing his hand over his eyes, his other hand going out to feel the bed beside him but all he felt was coldness which quickened his eyes to widen.

"What the fuck" he scrambled out of the bed and shoved his fingers into his hair almost pulling it, dragging the bed sheets to cover up himself he went to his living room to search for his phone.

He saw it laying on the couch and picked it up to miss calls and messages from everyone but one single person. He almost threw the phone to the wall when one of the messages caught his attention.

I'm going to London as we discussed. Don't miss me much.

He knew the person behind the message and the reason but didn't know why that one person had not texted him since that night.

He'd known such a thing might occur and tried coaxing her out of it and yet she still persisted and now didn't want to pick up his calls. He pulled his hair more, almost shouting.

Every night he woke up to the side of his bed cold like it wasn't that way before that night. He had tried texting her so many times and the messages always bounced back or never got sent and he knew what that meant.

The urge to call his tech guy to hack into her phone or go to her was hard to resist but he knew her. She not calling him was enough to make him know she wasn't interested anymore.

He pushed the glass table with his foot but it didn't budge. She didn't even take the money he insisted to give her for plan B, not like he wasn't going to take responsibility for any mistake made by the both of them.

After everything they had together and done she couldn't even phone him after such a connection between them.

Pulling up his contacts he called his P.A to schedule him a flight to leave the country. He needed to cool off and that would start with going for a vacation but however, his lips stretched into a sinister smile.

He was coming for her and she better run because he wasn't letting her go. Damn the consequences and her privacy or she trying to to ignore him and his texts or playing hard to get.

"Thank you Joy" he threw his phone on the couch not caring if it broke or fell, what he knew was that he was coming for Ava.

Going into his room, this was the hotel she insisted they come to after he begged her to come to his home and she disagreed.

He'd been coming over everyday and insisted on living in the penthouse, this was the last place she was and he decided to stay here until he saw her again.

He could still smell her perfume on the pillow though it was faint now but still he held it to his chest as he plopped down on the bed.

This woman was a big problem and he knew that and he didn't know how to solve it. Problems in the office were no deal if he put his mind into it but since he met her he's been into her.

His thoughts, he couldn't stop thinking about her even before he asked her out. He sniffed the pillow and pressed it into him, smiling.

God, he fell back into the bed with the pillow on his body as he stared up at the ceiling, his memory reliving everything and the feel and warmth of her skin.

"You don't mean it" Ava chuckled, pulling Dominic's hair. They were lying down on the bed and facing each other. They just returned from a date and she was slightly tipsy and couldn't go back home so he insisted on taking her to his house but she declined suggesting a hotel or she was going to find her way back home—alone.

And over his dead body was he letting go home alone. Tipsy. It was better she stayed with him.

"I do" he shrugged and she raised a brow "only…only if you let me. You know" he kissed the side of her lips and she giggled leaving his hair to clutch his shirt and his lips went down from there to her neck.

"Dom" she whimpered, pulling him close to her and bared her neck to him. "Dom…what are we doing?"

"Shh" he whispered and kissed her shoulder, going up to her ear to bite it and she moaned leaving his shirt to flatten her hand on his chest.

She rubbed his chest, then pulled him by his hair to brush her lips on his and he groaned her name pushing her a bit to sit up.

Her eyes widened as he pulled his shirt over his head "What are you doing?" She whispered, her voice came out low and breathy.

"Nothing, just taking my shirt off. What are you thinking, love?" He laughed clambering out of the bed. "Nothing is going to happen tonight Ava" he winked at her as he went to the ice bucket sitting on the glass table by the side of the room window and took the champagne out.

He picked the two flute glasses and poured champagne into it. He strode down to her now sitting down on the foot of the bed and gave her one which she took and gulped it down immediately.

"You okay?" he asked, his voice playful. The way she had thrown the whole thing down her throat looked funny. Ava shook her head and stood up, starting towards the champagne bottle inside the ice bucket and he left to sit on the foot of the bed.

"You're tipsy and no good for any more drinks Ava let it go" she could hear his voice from behind and instead brought the champagne bottle to him and held it to his face.

"Let's get drunk tonight and be wasted" she softly said in his face "tomorrow we go back to whatever bubble we've cocooned ourselves in, in the past few weeks. How do you see that dom?" She licked her lips, her voice coming out alluring and sultry making him gulp.

Dominic threw the drink down his throat and forwarded the glass to her, which she surprised him , by swigging it right from the bottle into her mouth, grinning at him when he raised his brow at the glass and the champagne.

"Shh" she drank more from it and moved towards him, pushing his knees to the side to stand between his legs "allow me" she took another gulp and took his hair into hands pulling it only to drop her lips on his.
