I understand why our Alpha finds his mate so captivating.
The woman has fire in her veins. What surprises me is Joseph's lack of discipline toward her constant muttering and defiant remarks. Instead of correcting her behavior, he appears genuinely entertained by her rebellious spirit.
Earlier, before Dr. Dorothy emerged from his room with instructions about posting guards, Joseph had reached out through our mind link. He wanted me to retrieve her belongings and vehicle from wherever she'd stashed them.
Scan everything for tracking devices, he'd commanded.
Watching her stride from Joseph's room now, she carries herself with the natural authority of a head pack physician. While her confidence might waver in other areas, medical expertise and patient care clearly aren't among her weaknesses.
"Dr. Dorothy, our Alpha requested I collect your clothing and vehicle. Tell me their locations and I'll handle the retrieval immediately."
